Using capacitance as a measure. There are five farads in a farad. Observations with an oscilloscope revealed very limited improvement in voltage drops and voltage spikes. We measured the capacitor's capacitance in farads where 1 farad is equal to 1 volt change in 1 second when we limit the current to 1 amp. I expected that the item would need 100 full seconds to charge from zero volts to ten volts at one Charge time at 1 amp equals 100 seconds for 10 farad capacitors when they are each equilibrated at 10 volts. Despite its small size, this capacitor was able to charge to 10 volts in only 5 seconds. The same 1 farad Stinger capacitor from 1994 still has 1 farad of capacitance after all these years, requiring 10 seconds in the same test. MAXIMUM CAPACITY MEASURED IN 10 FARADS A MANUFACTURER CLAIM IS FOR 5 FARADS OR HALF A FARAD, NOT 20 TIMES LESS.

As the first capacitor I received did not have a charging bulb, that may have been the reason for its failure. This is the second stinger product I'll buy. The LED display did not work but the capacitor did so I will not buy any more stingers. It would have been better to take it back if I bought it at a store, however since I bought it online, I will deal with this as it A product's return policy is the most troublesome part of buying.
Voltage meter doesn't work, i'd like a refund or a replacement for one that works through all functions.
