The capacitor for Hunter fan #28681 must be replaced

I lost the ability to choose low and high speeds on Hunter fans. We replaced the capacitor with this one, and now it's working great. Tools/materials needed can be seen in the photo. It is the grey (back side) wire that attaches to the white wire of A wire's corresponding color is connected to all other wires unless stated otherwise. It is not a good idea to pull the existing wires out of their harness(es). connect the new wires to the old ones, by using "wire nuts", and clip the old ones to the new ones.

It was the perfect fit and upgrade

The installation is fairly straightforward if you have some basic electrical work knowledge, i. e. , to match the color of the old wires with the new. I love it. I remember when I was a kid, seeing old movies with fans on high speed and it looked like I was in the 1940s. It only deals with the effects. It's a windstorm now that these babies are in the water. It blows just like you expect it to.

It controls the fan speed with a capacitor located in the ceiling

My beautiful ceiling fan is about to be trashed due to slow speed but any speed level is too much for me. The fan got back to working like new after I replaced this capacitor. Because it was so affordable, I bought extra to give to future fans.

To get high speed airflow back, do not buy a new fan change the part

Thus far, everything seems to be going well. The crimps must be swapped out in 15 minutes. I think all your ratings are 5, so check them. There is no tension now between the kids.

It is a great replacement for the 10MFD/5 MFD / 250Vac Added capacitors to old Hunter Pavilion fans that had lost their CFM due to aging and now they are working once again

It is stated on the label that the original caps were A fan can be set to three speeds. As 5mfd (uf) + 5 + 5 is the same as 10mfd / 5mfd, it is the same as 10mfd / 5mfd. This canopy seal fits perfectly in the canopy, and it is easy to install.

It seems that the fan has been fixed

This capacitor was causing the fan to run slowly before it was changed. After a short period of time, all three fan speeds are working like new. I have 3 identical fans, so I purchased the 3 pack and have 2 spare capacitors in case the other fans have the same problem in the future. These parts are easy to install and save the trouble and cost of changing the fan.
