This will work with the OnyX Plus, but it will not power or control the volume of a speaker dock/boombox such as the SXSD2 or SXABB1/2. Please reach out to us at (800) 222-4444. 513- If you need a remote to control the OnyX Plus as well as a speaker dock/boombox, call 8554.
That's exactly what it does. It was marketed to me as a universal remote control, but it only changes channels and turns on the radio, not the dock. br>Volume will not be altered.
Yes, the Onyx radios (including the Onyx Plus) were originally XM network products, despite the universal remote not working with all Sirius radios. On Amazon, search for SiriusXM Universal Remote Control v2 to find the correct remote for all SiriusXM radios. ASINB06Y62RR27 is a number of ASINs that have been assigned to a product.
No, you'll need a remote from your radio's manufacturer if you want to use this with an XM radio. Thanks

type home docking unit, which turns out to be different from other docking units. It turned out that the remote wasn't the right one for the job. Except for the lack of volume controls (though this remote does appear to have volume controls for various setups), everything worked perfectly. At first, it took me a long time to figure out how to make it work - I had to manually turn on the radio, pressing the bottom right hand button, before it would work. I particularly appreciated the fact that it retained all of my previously saved shortcuts. Volume controls, on the other hand, were something I was looking for. I contacted the seller, TSS Radio, and received prompt and courteous assistance; he quickly identified the remote I required, but it was not available on Amazon. So he sent it to me anyway, with the instruction to return the other one as soon as possible. I received the replacement in a matter of days, and it worked flawlessly, including volume controls. If you need a remote for any Sirius radio, I strongly advise you to contact the guy at TSS Radio first.
This remote makes navigation a breeze and allows you to focus on your driving, which is far safer than using your hands to navigate while driving. t- t- t-t-t-t-t-t-t- Basically, scan allows you to scan the channels you have saved (around 20 A/B options), and once you find a song you like, press one of the bottom buttons to stay in that channel and listen to your favorite song!.
This remote was in perfect working order with the device. Make sure to press the a/b button on the unit for direct tune first, then enter a channel number; once that's done, everything should be fine. It's so convenient to be able to change the channel, navigate the menu, turn the unit off and on, and program preset stations. br>br>It was delivered quickly and on time, and I would recommend it and buy from them again. A++.
I paid less than $10 for this remote, and I believe that was its maximum value. It arrived with a dead battery, so I had to go out and buy a new one. It synced with my XM Onyx radio in the car right away after I installed the new battery. It's adequate for changing channels and scrolling through stations. Aside from the battery issue, another flaw I have with the product is that it requires you to keep it within a short range (within 1-mile). It must be within 2 feet of the ground to function. As a result, it's only used when we're on a road trip and I have a passenger in the car who can use the remote, but it's still handy to have.
Instructions can be found here. The presence of multiple remote versions is causing confusion. EDIT: The following day, it stopped working again. To get the remote to work again, I needed to remove the battery and replace it. I expect this to be a recurring problem. I reduced my rating to three stars because I do not believe this is a viable "universal remote" solution. br>br>When I first received the remote, I was convinced it wouldn't work with my SiriusXM Onyx Plus with Vehicle Dock; I felt as if I had tried every possible combination of buttons with no effect on my radio. Another reviewer suggested pressing the a/b button on the radio first, then entering a channel with the remote; however, this did not work for me. When I tried it again, however, I was able to get it to work. If that helps figure out which version you have, the lower right most button on my remote says r/b (the upper right simply has the XM logo and nothing else). I docked one star for this awkward programming issue and confusing versions with no real supporting documentation. The remote accessory isn't even mentioned in the instruction manual for my vehicle dock, and the home kit, which does include a remote, simply states that it exists and says nothing about "if your remote doesn't work. " "br>br>IN ORDER FOR IT TO WORK: I turned on the radio and pressed the r/b button on the remote (far lower right button), which brought up the manual channel selection screen, where I entered a three-digit channel, the radio tuned to it, and all of the remote functions suddenly worked. The remote now supports direct tuning, directional buttons, select, menu, back, forward, play/pause, mute, and power (on and off). br>It's worth noting that I removed the battery and replaced it after testing it to ensure it wasn't dead; perhaps it had a bad contact the first time I tried it, or the remote itself required a reboot? If you're having problems, it's worth a shot. br>br>There appear to be several versions of this remote floating around, the most easily distinguishable by the logo in the upper right corner. XM, XM XMP3, SiriusXM, and SiriusXM v2 have all been shown to me. I've also seen the lower right button with bank, favorite, or r/b written on it. I'm not sure if these different remotes are to blame for some of the issues, but it appears that after much fiddling, I was able to get mine to work.
This controller was purchased to work with the ONYX PLUS XM CONTROLLER. It turns the unit on and off, as well as switching between the preset channels. The Mute function is also effective. It's also reasonably priced.
This product comes with a battery. I threw it in the car and began using it right away - There is no need to set up anything. I would strongly recommend this product because it is extremely useful to have in the car (or at home).
This is connected to my Onxy Plus Satellite Radio. You can scroll through previous songs on a list with the remote rather than using the back arrow next to pause, which is a great feature.
