This one is suitable for my 5x05.
It'll last a long time; I've only had to replace it twice in the last four years.
It will work with any vehicle that has the proper antenna installed. However, you'll need a remote start, alarm, or bypass module with the appropriate adapter.
The 476P is the model that works with the 1500ESP, and I just found two of them if you still need one. On Amazon, I go by the name Thunder AV, and you should be able to find it.

This remote must be programmed to channel 2 to work with most viper alarms. To program your remote, follow the steps outlined below. 1. br>br> Open the driver's side door while sitting in the driver's seat. 2. br>br>1. br>br>br>br>br>br Place the key in the ignition and turn it to the on position (do not start the engine; instead, turn the key to the position where all of your vehicle's electronics turn on). br>br>3. ONE TIME PRESS THE BUTTON ON YOUR ALARM RECEIVER, THEN HOLD THE BUTTON DOWN ON THE SECOND PRESS UNTIL YOU HEAR THE ALARM CHIRP SEVERAL TIMES, THEN RELEASE THE BUTTON ON THE RECEIVER. (The position will vary depending on where it was installed, but once found, the receiver should only have one button)br>br>4. Press the lock button on the replacement key fob as soon as the receiver's button is released. 5. br>br> Replace the key in the ignition and turn it off. (You should hear the alarm chirp a few times more. )br>br>6. Close the driver door and test the replacement remote by pressing the lock button. br>br>Once you've completed the steps above, your new remote should be programmed to work with all of the other remotes you've previously programmed to your alarm. br>br>If you don't succeed the first time, try again and again until you succeed.
When ordering replacement electronic parts, you never know what you'll get, but I'm happy to report that this remote was the exact same model as the one I was replacing and worked flawlessly. Instead of using the included program guide, contact the remote starter installer for more detailed instructions (or email me for my instructions and I'll assist you). Once you've learned the procedure, programming is a breeze.
I'm on my third one right now. This is not a durable product.
My old viper system was able to use it. A 474v remote was used in the beginning. My Escalade is a 2005 model. I had a hard time getting into program mode, but once I took my car out of valet mode, I was able to do so. By opening the door, quickly turning the key on and off, and pressing the valet button, I was able to accomplish this. It made a chirping sound. I was able to get it into program mode once I heard the chirps. I repeated the process (open door/quickly turnkey on/pressed and held valet-key) without turning off the key. Heard a chirp/ pressed and held the lock on the remote/ heard another chirp/ let go of both/ turned key to off / another chirp/ it worked. ) IT TOOK A FEW THINGS TO GET IT RIGHT! Now I can't get the remote start to work, and I'm not sure if my system even supports it. When I bought the car, I was told that, but who knows? I'm just relieved to have a working remote once more. I'll take it to a shop one day and see if they can fix it.
Doesn't pair with my older model 5101 4102v, and nowhere does it state that it only works on specific models, so I'm stuck with a useless remote that I can't return because I threw away the packaging.
This remote was purchased for my husband and came packaged in a ziplock bag with simple and easy-to-follow instructions. In less than 3 minutes, I was able to pair it with his current system. So far, it's been great, and my husband is pleased with it. He doesn't have to go outside to start the engine now that the weather has turned cold.
This remote took the place of a 7142v. It's a little slimmer than the original. The replacement was satisfactory. br>Came in a small baggie with no instructions, but a quick google search of the programming is probably preferable to trying to decipher written instructions.
There was no packaging of any kind. There are no instructions in any way. I've had it for quite some time and am still unable to connect it.
