I guess I bought the only Alpine head unit that didn't come with a remote. This guy was a special request. As I try to keep my filthy mitts off the delicate display, these remotes need to be updated to include the ability to thumb up and down artists on Pandora.

I worked when and where I was needed. Although $ 20 is not outrageous, Alpine should have included it as part of the overall package. Make sure you have name-brand batteries installed, such as Duracell, Eveready, and others, to ensure you get the most out of your battery's range of operation. You'll need the remote because I installed the Alpine system in my RV.

It functions in the same way as a remote control

but. For basic features, it's fine. But that's about it in terms of tuning, volume, source adjustments, and power. Within the deck, you won't be able to adjust anything. Bluetooth connectivity, EG adjustments, and soforth are just a few of the features available. If you're just trying to be a little more handsfree (or lazy:) this is a good buy.

This is a must-have if you own an Alpine car stereo; I am one of those people who is constantly changing stations and turning up the volume. I didn't have to lean forward because of this remote, and the controls are excellent.

The best part is that you can control your Alpine deck with a remote control. This remote works fine, but if you're used to a Kenwo0d remote, you'll be disappointed because it lacks the functionality and responsiveness that you're used to.

You will not be sorry. This item has already saved me from receiving several tickets for noise violations. The mute button saves the day when you don't want to reach for the volume knob to turn down the music when you see a cop. It also has a pretty long range of application. I'm really glad I got it.
