There is no indication of what this means in the article. It has a total of 4 amps of output, similar to my two USBs. 12v 1, so that's the input. A. 35. For a dual USB with a 5 amp output, I cannot imagine the price is far higher than that.
Directly connecting the red wire to the positive and black wire to the negative pole is best.

This appears to be overheating when used between the headliner and roof of the car, as power cycles on and off (or stays off) when attached to the USB port. This might be a good solution for a car, but I strongly recommend using a different approach.
In my Polaris RZR, I wanted to hardwire a cable for my GoPro camera and the tablet that I use for GPS. The power cable was hooked up to the 12v bus bar beneath the hood, and the unit was placed under the dash with the TOPK magnetic usb power cables directly connected to the Fortunately, my dash is now clean and now my devices can be popped out and disconnected easily.
I expect that to work!.
Adding this to our vanagon would be a good idea.
It does what it is supposed to do.
To provide switched USB power to my dash cam, I wired this up to my fuse panel using a power tap device. The product is as advertised and works well. It can be installed by anyone with knowledge of basic automotive wiring.
I love it.
