Is not. The cable ends used by Apple and Android are very different. Only Apple products are eligible for this promotion.
I only use it in the front seat because the cord is heavy duty and tightly coiled, so I don't see it stretching to the back. So far, it's been a success.
I just leave my charger plugged in all the time. With my Wireless Car Charger, it's even more so. I simply place it in its mount, and it automatically detects and charges the phone. If I had to plug in and out all the time, it would kind of defeat the purpose, so no thanks! Anything plugged in like this would slowly drain your battery if you have a weak battery or if your car is parked for days on end. However, if your car sits for that long, it should be equipped with a trickle charger to keep your battery charged and extend its life. If your car will be sitting for more than a few days, pull it out far enough to prevent the battery from being completely discharged. However, if it isn't charging anything, there's no need to be concerned.
It is determined by the phone. Only iPhones will work with this because it has a lightning connector. MicroUSB or USB-C can be used with Android phones. These days, it's C. USB- C is a more recent addition to the family. Any Android phone will not be compatible with this cable.

I've never had an issue with things I plugged into my car before.
Bought 2. Both were on the job for three days in a row.
14 days ago, I bought it. It is no longer working. The products from AmazonBasics are of poor quality.
I used it three times before it stopped working. I'd give it a 0 out of 5 star rating if I could. It was a complete waste of money.
After only one week of use, the charger broke down. I have to keep unplugging and plugging it in again and again.
I don't need a long reach because I won't be using the cord to charge and use the phone at the same time. While I don't have any kind of dashboard mount at the moment, the cord has enough give to reach my dashboard without getting in the way of controls or navigation. I usually leave my phone plugged in and out of reach in the console (safety first!) I have a 40-inch TV.
Update: I had a minute daily commute and was able to charge my iPhone 8 to 100% from 30% during that time.
This charger quickly recharges your battery. It's only been two weeks since I got it, but it appears to be well-made. Like other Amazon Basics items, I believe it will last a long time. 5 stars for a good charger.
The product that was sent to me did not work right away. It kept stating that it was plugged in and then stating that it was not plugged in. It claims to be for Apple products in the description, but it certainly functions as a cheap charger.
