Essentially, the directory system is broken. If you try to look up a phone number or scroll through the directory listings, the entire system will literally crash and reboot. The answering machine function is satisfactory. I haven't tried call blocking yet, but I doubt it because using the directory will cause it to crash. br>br>Saving your money for something else is a better option.

This appeared to be a good product, but it was not working properly. The setup appeared to be satisfactory at first. Activated, connected to Bluetooth, and downloaded phone book from cell phone. When it was done, it displayed 69 contacts. This is where the good stuff comes to an end. I was unable to access the phone book. I followed the included setup guide to the letter, and I did so several times. Error messages, "base not powered" (it was), "not available," etc. Scrolling through menu did not show phonebook but did show "directory," which when selected gave "review" selected. The screen is blank. I tried an online search, but there was no manual, just an FAQs that was difficult to navigate and didn't show many items related to the search terms, and it kept referring to different models even after I repeatedly entered the correct model vs112- Again and again! I tried using the phone contact, and the voice menu options matched those in the setup guide, so I chose to speak to someone. As a result, "long hold time," "leave name and number for a callback," and "leave name and number for callback. " There was no call back after three hours. I tried the phone call again, with the same results. I decided to return the item, but I wanted to share my experience here in case it can help someone else.

EDITED. After entering all of my contacts, I discovered that I need to scroll through the list to find the person I want to call. As with my Panasonic, there are no shortcuts. ****After a while of using the phone, I figured out how to get a contract without having to scroll through all of them. My only criticism is that the phone's instructions are insufficiently detailed.

The money spent was not well spent. In September of this year, these phones were set up. To get the dial tone to come back on, I have to unplug the main set every other day. Because the phones are down, no emergency calls or other calls can be made. By the time the provider arrived to check the lines and discovered the problem was with the phones, the time to return had passed.

At least four different V-necks have passed through my hands. In the last twenty-five years, I've owned and used a variety of cordless phone sets and have enjoyed them all. The best of them all is this one. Since my previous one died, I was very pleased with Amazon's prompt delivery. The phone is attractive, and the basic setup of all four handsets is simple. The speaker's voice is clear and easy to understand. I haven't tried any of the phone's more advanced features, such as connecting to my cell phone. The call block button on the front of the phone is one of the phone's biggest selling points. After growing tired of black phones, I prefer the white/silver version. My only criticism is that the included instruction sheet does not cover the basics as well as previous sets. I needed more information about how to set up the directory i. how to add a space between first and last names in the name area, etc. , but other than that, this is a beautiful and wonderful phone!.

So far, everything is going swimmingly. We needed to replace a cordless set that we already had. Despite the fact that the initial set up was supposed to guide you through the process, it didn't work for some reason. I figured it out after reading the instructions. For elderly family members, we needed an "old school" answering machine, and this works perfectly. The buttons aren't particularly large or visible, but I doubt you'll find anything better. The ability to pair with a cell phone via Bluetooth was an added bonus that worked well. When using Bluetooth, however, you must press a different button. Overall, this fulfills our requirements.

Because the handsets could not be paired with any Bluetooth headset, the unit had to be returned.

The directory would not load properly no matter how many times I tried to download, remove, turn Bluetooth on/off, and so on. 9/23/20 UPDATE: As of 9/23/20, the following has been added to the list of updates. This set has been turned off. Please return my old Panasonic television set! The directory was never reliable, and to search for a name, the instructions instructed you to simply scroll through all of the names until you found the one you were looking for. Regrettably, this is true. This one appealed to me because it has a larger screen, is louder, and has backlighting. numbers that are illuminated.
