Okay, this appears to work. That's how it's supposed to be. However, I was unable to award it a 5-star rating. stars. First, the positive: it lights up beautifully and contains all of the information I require. It's also very simple to put together. br>br>What exactly is the issue? I'm having trouble figuring out how to use all of the features. There are some ambiguities in the instructions. I'm not sure how to delete all of the messages or save only a few. While this device accomplishes all of these tasks, it could be more user-friendly. When it comes to electronics, I'm not a dummy. I know my way around a computer and have built a few myself. I am in possession of a smartphone. I can even set the time on my old VCR, lol, but this baby has me stumped just enough that I'm not going to worry about it. br>br>However, it performs as expected and is reasonably priced; I'm using it on an antique European dial phone from the 1930s, which is why I needed it in the first place.
I had a previous model that worked great for 20 years. . . Then it died on me. . . This one lasted two days and only works intermittently. . . Previous one was plugged in but looked identical. . . This one is battery operated. . . Very disappointed.
This item has been in my possession for over six months and is now completely unreadable- junk! On the plus side, I've had a Radio Shack clock radio for more than 15 years and it's still going strong.
The best part is that it is illuminated from the back. It contains all of the data I require, including date, time, and a phone number. If you haven't been blocked, you can use your real name. In the last 15 years, I've bought three. Radio Shack had stopped selling it, which I was disappointed about. I was still able to purchase one thanks to Amazon.
This item is difficult to come by, but I had one for years before it died. Although there were cheaper models available, I prefer the backlight and display size.
It's impossible to read the text on the screen. The controls for adjusting the brightness are strange and difficult to use. The instructions for a variety of home devices are incomprehensible.
When the phone rings or you review your history, the background is so dark that you can't see the number coming through. I'd return it if I had the paperwork, but I don't. This isn't something you should buy.
The display window is dimly lit. Information is not visible. It does not help to change the batteries. Useless.
