Only incoming calls are handled by the device. It's been almost two months since we've had it. There was a spammer who was particularly aggressive. To keep this harasser at bay, we had to block over 70 different incoming phone numbers. This call blocker continues to provide excellent service.
No, it can only be used with landlines.
You can see the phone numbers you've blocked, and you'll see some prompts if you've added them manually.
I'm not sure why this particular one is defective.

We decided to buy this item because we couldn't block a call and were annoyed by the constant barrage of marketing calls. It was simple to set up and use, and it has performed admirably thus far. Although the LED is not backlit, the red call-blocking button is easy to locate and operate. Simply scroll down and press the red button if you miss a call that you want to block. Easy.
I can now block tens of thousands of additional numbers, and the best part is that I no longer receive the single ring for blocked numbers. No ring! I'm really happy about it. Setting it up was a breeze. Even after only a few days, I've noticed a difference in spam rings. I would strongly suggest it.
The unit described and pictured here is not the one you will receive; the model I received was CT-. CID803 Plus is a unique combination of CID803 and CID80 It's a great unit that's been working well so far, but I'm not sure how many people it can hold. Although the model advertised here has a 4000 number, the CT-2000 has a 3000 number. In most cases, CID803 Plus is only 1500 characters long. According to the manual, there are 4000 groups, which is very confusing. 1500 numbers, in my opinion, should be sufficient. Although the unit is excellent, I have given it four stars due to the misinformation and false advertising.
I can't imagine having a landline phone without one of these. I have two business landlines. My reason is that I don't want any dropped calls or the phone to ring and ring. br>After nearly 5 or 6 years of use, my previous one died? I bought two of the step-down models at the time, one of which is still working and the other which has stopped working. br>When it died, I just shrugged and went about my business. br>Within a few hours, I received three stupid calls, two bot callers, and one scammer. br>Within three days, I had received approximately 18 calls, was climbing the walls, and went online to order this! br>I'm not going to try again to live without them.
1. Is it a little difficult to follow the instructions? But if you set aside a few minutes, it's not so bad. In today's world, that's the case with almost all instructions. You can even watch a video, I believe. The first time I set up one for date and time, I think it took me about 20 minutes. br>2. This isn't a caller identification system. There are no names mentioned. The phone number is all that is necessary. In today's world, almost every phone has caller id. Caller ID is on even my 6-year-old phones.
3. They never blocked a caller that I didn't press a button to block in all the years I had two of them. br>I'm not sure how that could happen. They are so basic that if someone had a phone number blocked, it was because someone pressed the block button without them knowing.
4. Yes, I'd make another purchase. I'm going to make another purchase. And I constantly tell people about them. br>br>I have no affiliation with them. But they've made such a difference in my life that I've told everyone I know about them. Never try to persuade them to buy a specific brand; instead, tell them to get a phone with a call blocker or a call blocking box. They all thank me for bringing these to their attention.
Setup time is minimal. Robo-Stopped Calls.
It does what it's supposed to do and is simple to use and set up. br>br>A mentally ill friend of mine calls me every day. When I don't answer, she calls every hour and leaves the same message in an attempt to coerce me into making contact. This device blocks her number, stops the phone from ringing, and prevents her from leaving long stream of consciousness rants on my phone. It has been a blessing in my life. Plus, once I've taken a break, I can easily unblock this pest's phone number, speak with her, and then re-block her number. Remove her from the equation. She was unable to control her own actions. She forced me to take charge of it for her. And this device is the wonderful present I gave myself that allowed me to have peace of mind. On MY terms, please.
One of the most valuable purchases I've made. I've had it for a couple of weeks and have cut nuisance calls by at least 80%. I was getting a lot more spam and robo calls than usual, and this device helped me get rid of them. Anyone who is bothered by a lot of spam calls should try it out. It's simple to set up and only needs two cables plugged in. It's as simple as that.
Today it was delivered. It does not work after I connected it according to the instructions. At all. It isn't working. The phone isn't working right now. It could just be an empty plastic case because it's so light. It's complete nonsense.
