I did not disconnect the landline from the wall. I disconnected the wire (which connected my landline phone to the wall jack) - a phone call I plugged it into the call blocker's right-hand jack. I inserted one end of the short wire that came with the blocker into the call blocker's left side jack and the other end into the jack on the phone that I had just re-plugged in. The blocker has been routed.
Hello, please connect the call blocker to your extension at the same time as the extension. Then, on the device, turn on 1 ring, press NO CID/BACK for 3 seconds, and then use the UP arrow to toggle from 0 to 1 ring. When you've reached the bottom of the page, press BACK.
Your phone's caller id will only display unblocked numbers as well as any numbers you may have blocked on the phone, such as some vtechs. There is a limit to what the phone can block. Because the call must first pass through this blocker, the call log on this device is identical to the one on your phone; you can then go through the log and block any numbers you want. After that, those numbers will no longer appear on your phone.
We purchased a call blocker, but it did not function properly. I was preventing myself from getting the numbers I needed. This Call Blocker is not something I would recommend!

I've had it for over a week and am very pleased with it. So far, everything has gone smoothly! I read a lot of reviews and took notes on how to block callers before making the purchase. There are a number of codes you can use to do so, but my phone company (Frontier) has blocked my access to them because I haven't paid the $12 per month (!). ) to do so! I do it in a far more straightforward manner: When I'm at home, I simply hit "block" on the device; otherwise, I simply scroll through missed calls (as I would anyway to see if I missed anything important) and if they're unknown (Robo callers). I just hit "block" after scrolling through the caller list on the blocker! It works perfectly and is simple to use. I used to get a 6 out of ten. I used to get ten calls per day, but now I only get a couple. They change their s all the time, I know. I simply put them on hold. It was a huge relief to find something so simple and straightforward. br>It's time to make some changes. I've had it for 6 months and as of today, I've blocked 197 phone numbers! This amounts to one () per day on average. When the phone rings only once and the caller is cut off, I love it. I get five calls on some days and none on others, but this has saved me from answering the phone in the middle of the night to avoid phishing calls and unwanted promotions. The only issue I've had so far is with a number that I accidentally blocked. My sister, who communicates with me on a regular basis. I've tried bringing up the phone number and pressing delete twice, but it still blocks her on occasion. It was just a few minutes ago that I deleted it. She dialed the number, and it was received successfully. Then we tried it again, and she got a busy signal. I'll have to take care of that. I've unblocked her again, so we'll see what happens next; if there's a secret explanation for what's going on, I'd love to know what it is.
I bought this Call Blocker about 5 weeks ago, and it has already blocked 60 calls that I had requested. This machine does exactly what it says it will, which is to block the calls you want or need to block. Finally, I'm able to relax. When I looked them up on Amazon, I found a variety of options. I saw this one had a lot of good reviews and decided to give it a try. I'm glad I took the chance. This is one I strongly recommend. I'm 74 years old, and I found it to be very simple to set up. You can set it up in minutes by reading and following the directions. It will immediately begin working for you. This is not a paid review, I repeat, this is not a paid review. I'm just someone who was tired of receiving Robocalls and decided to try this one. You will not be disappointed if you purchase one. For a few months, we've been using this call blocker. It initially appeared to be doing what we wanted it to do, but then it began receiving attempted calls from my son that were blocked by the call blocker. We didn't tell it to block his calls, so we're not sure why it did, but after clearing it, it added his number to the blocked list multiple times. I disabled all automatic call blocking features, so that shouldn't be an issue. I'd just be cautious with this call blocker and invest in a more expensive model that might work better. Except for a few numbers that end up in the block list that shouldn't be there, I'd say it worked pretty well. br>br>Since writing this review, I've been working with the company to get it to stop blocking some of my family's phone numbers, and they've been extremely helpful, offering to send me a replacement unit or refund my money. I went out and bought another unit, but the results were the same. They then issued a refund for my purchase. If I were looking for a blocker, I'd give this one a shot and see what happens.
Press the Block Button or, if you're on the phone, press and hold the Star Button for about 2 seconds and then hang up! The caller has been blocked! If you accidentally Block someone, scroll down your list until you find their phone number and press Delete twice. I always check the call log as well as the Red Block Block button for the number because it needs to be removed from both places in order for the caller to get through. Small learning curve, but I'm a senior who isn't particularly tech-savvy, and I learned how to use it, and you can too! Many robocalls have been avoided. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat. Other makes/models were available for a higher price, but I'm glad we went with this one (especially since it was election season and the flu was spreading). This small device has reduced suspicious calls by about 90% and it is pretty easy to block unwanted calls that pass through the detection filter. Peace at home is well worth the small investment. Because we live in a cell phone-free zone, we're stuck with a landline. As a result, we are bombarded with robocalls and unsolicited phone calls.
The only robo calls we've received since installing and programming the blocker are new ones that we haven't yet blocked. The new ones, of course, are blocked. Robo calls, in my opinion, will be obsolete in a matter of days.
It was extremely simple to set up and operate. I had a lot of fun with it for a long time (it's now late December). I purchased it in March of this year). However, I recently discovered that two numbers that I had not blocked were still blocked. And it's been impossible to get those numbers unblocked - I've experimented with three different approaches - as a result of the instructions and the questions I've given up and written it off as a waste of money; however, I've recently purchased another - I'd rather not be without a call blocker because it's different and more expensive.
I plugged it in, answered the phone, and then pressed the BLOCK button. There was no action taken. I double-checked the cables and found that they were all connected properly. The screen had gone completely black by this point. Then I used the up and down arrows to move forward and backward. The screen went blank after a brief flash of a phone number. "Block successful," it said after I pressed the "Block" button. " I'm not sure what number it was that it was blocking.
