Please accept my apologies if this is a little late, but if you have an AT&T regular landline, T (not U- If you are in certain states of AT and want to use Verse Voice, you can do so. Texas, for example, is part of T's service area. br>However, because it was designed for Call Waiting ID Options (aka Call Waiting Deluxe), you might find yourself paying a little extra to use features like putting them on hold, voicemail playbacks (which, if you pay for it, will essentially act as a regular answering machine), adding the calling party to your conversation, and so on.
I'm afraid I can't respond to your Magic Jack question. I don't have that; I only have a regular phone. I think it's a good idea. I have no regrets about purchasing the caller ID system.

Every time I get a phone call, I use it. It determines the origin of the call, as well as the phone number and, in some cases, the caller's name.
The screen must be within 3' of your nose to be read!.
Over the more expensive units, this one comes highly recommended.
It contains all of the features I was looking for. It is extremely simple to operate. The LCD screen is clear, bright, and not dim. The contrast can be easily changed.
