No, there was only one belt, which I installed after doing some research online. It took me around two hours to complete the task.
The HP500 is only available in two sizes: 42 inches and 24 inches. This belt is designed for people who are 42 inches tall, so it will be quite large for you.
The bearing on these low-cost belts is smooth, with only vertical teeth.
Hello Wendy, I can only speak for the products I sell, but I believe they are all made by different companies. I'm pretty sure I sell a lot of the belts I offer without any issues. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

It's the same situation as if you were replacing an original HP belt. The printer must be calibrated after the belt has been replaced. It only takes a few minutes, and you can start the process from the printer's "paper" menu. If using the 42" model, make sure to use a 36" roll or a large sheet of paper. Reload the printed pattern, this time with the dots facing the printer. To scan the calibrated printout, rotate the printed sheet 90 degrees counterclockwise and start scanning from the paper menu. You can now print it once it's finished. br>The belt performs just as well as the original. It takes one minute to replace something. Depending on the skills, it could take up to two hours. The procedure is explained in a YouTube video. For this project, you'll need a Torx screwdriver set. Ensure that the old belt on the motor pulley is clean of all gunk. Replace an OEM tension pulley with the one attached. To lock the tension pulley spring in the down position, simply press the tab below the pulley until it locks in place. To apply tension, remove the plastic bracket that holds the spring with a small flat head screwdriver - Both sides of the spring have two tabs that are latched.
I don't usually use aftermarket parts because I've been a "traditional" copier / printer technician for over 40 years. I took a chance because one of my regular vendors was out of stock and I needed it quickly for one of my biggest accounts. I was concerned when I noticed the entire belt had grooves, which the OEM did not have, but it worked fine with the non-OEM belt. Of course, the real test is how long this belt will last, and having grooves on the entire belt may help it last longer. br>br>Of course, the real test is how long this belt will last. Only time will tell if this is true. On a typical user machine, 3 years should suffice. If the belt fails too soon, I'll write a second review to alert others.
Reading previous reviews, I knew there was a YouTube video out there, and I was able to find an online demonstration of the removal and replacement. br>br> br>br>Before attempting the replacement, watch the video through to the end at least once. Steps are taken by the presenter, who then redoes them in a different way. I watched each step, then paused it to do it myself, only to discover after resuming the video that the presenter had made a mistake with that step. It's a real drag. He also warns you about pinching the ribbon cable after he has you reinstall it, which would have been helpful to know ahead of time. br>br>A few steps are skipped in the video, such as the removal of the paper feed arm (the video starts with this item already removed). br>br>After reassembly, the presenter says not to worry if the PCB behind the board has empty connectors (around 31 minutes into the video), because a fan is no longer included with the service module (mine does), but then goes on to say that it did have the cable after all. br>br>If you've done this replacement before, it's a 5 star product; however, if you're following the video guide like me, the demonstration will disappoint you.
Fits perfectly, works flawlessly, and I was able to get my plotter up and running after watching a YouTube video on how to do so. The belt's quality isn't quite up to OEM standards, but it's serviceable and the price is hard to beat; I only use this plotter for light work anyway. Unless you have a lot of use and can afford the OEM belt, I recommend this option.
There were no installation instructions, so I had to watch a video on YouTube.
Installation was extremely simple using the instructions that came with the belt and by viewing the step-by-step instructions on the website. I found a step-by-step video on YouTube (search for HP Designjet 500 belt replacement) from LPS Computer. I would gladly recommend this product, as well as all of LPS Computer's other high-quality offerings.
However, it continues to function.
Worked.
