I purchased four of these tape cartridges to use in my PT-2000. I tried two times and gave up at 2200. First, the cartridge's instruction tab reads "wind 1. " 2 times until the rope is taut. It took at least ten full turns for things to start to tighten up. I tried them on with a test pattern once they were snug enough. Every time I printed 20 labels from the two cartridges, the lettering was compressed together at some point on the label because the cartridges didn't feed evenly. A few of the outcomes are depicted in the image. br>br>I'm returning them and paying the difference for Brother brand because the Brother tape I'm replacing is over five years old and still works flawlessly every time.
They are incompatible with each other and will not work on a PT-based system. As advertised, the year was 1880. When this tape is loaded into the printer, it will not show up as a cassette. br>I've attached two images for your consideration. The standard tape is the grey one on top, and this black tape is on the bottom. It's worth noting that the pin holes aren't all the same, resulting in incompatibility. br>After some research, I discovered that it is repairable (at least for PT-1). 1880). Simply use tape to hold the second pin in place, as shown in my other attached image.
It's difficult to get them into the P-shaped holes in the P-shaped holes. Touch . These unauthorized tapes are a disaster. It's difficult to get them into the P-shaped holes in the P-shaped holes. The printer can be touched. But, perhaps most importantly, removing the backing is extremely difficult. The clear protective coating over the text is peeling off the one I managed to print and finally remove the backing when stuck to a metal plate of a machine.
I recently bought a Brother P-Series printer. I wasn't sure how I felt about these off-the-beaten-path options. They weren't brand-name cartridges, but they worked perfectly. br>br>I use them to keep track of the supplies I need for my K9 nosework students. In addition, the tins needed to be labeled. We use lip balm tubes to hide odors for the dogs to discover. When I mail them out to students, they now appear to be very professional. Unlike ink jet printer labels I've used in the past, the ink on these labels doesn't rub off when the student holds them with slimy dog treats and gets them wet with dog slobber. br>br>I've only had issues with one colored cartridge (same brand, but from a different Amazon purchase). When I tried to use it, the ribbon almost instantly broke. There's no way to fix it. The others, on the other hand, have performed admirably.
I double-checked by using the Labelife Tape Cartridge, and it worked fine. The tape has perfect printing. br>br>A minor difference that isn't an issue for me, but could be for others, is the original P-code. Touch Brother tape backing is a medium-weight tape. Labelife Tape has a light blue backing and a white backing; if Labelife changed the backing color or used stripes or something, it would be easier to see.
Several of the labels had to be reprinted after becoming stuck in the labeler. The label did not line up with the backing paper, which resulted in this. With this brand, quality control is an issue that must be addressed.
The quality has been excellent thus far. Easy to work with because it is sticky. In the same way as the more expensive version. However, it is less costly. Please accept my heartfelt gratitude. I'm going to buy more!.
These worked well for me when I needed to make some small labels. I would have given them a five star rating if the first ones didn't seem to work on every cartridge.
