Buy just the microphone if you really like it. Save money and get just There are too many problems for the boom to be of any use, and a right-angle is needed The mic should be held at an angle with an angle adapter. It is unnecessary to have a windscreen because the microphone comes with an additional close-up mic Screen shot of working computer. A better boom is a good investment.
Assuming that you have a CloudLifter to go with the mic, it gets a solid 5 out of 5 rating. XLR is nothing to get excited about, but it gets the job done. *The mic stand and pop filter are bad (and totally useless) and bring the mic down to one star quality (use the windscreen that comes with the mic). In short, just buy the mic separately from the pack and ignore the garbage included in it. Get a cloudlifter - don't forget to do so! To achieve good sound, one needs to have a good microphone. It's rather quiet on the mic, but the CloudLifter works like a charm. I regret that you have to buy another piece of expensive gear in order to get the best results with these mics, but life in the audio world is like that.
For live sounding vocals, this is a great microphone. There is a lot of dynamic range in the frequency and it represents a good choice for loud recordings.
We have a small studio, so we have a number of condenser mics ranging from mid to high end, both tube and non-tube configurations. To all of them, the SM7B is up to the task. There are some applications in which I would even argue it's better than Java. In addition to being flat, it has a very natural response and responds exceptionally well to EQ, compression, and reverb.
You can buy this microphone for $500 if you do yourself a favor. It is very likely that you could record phenomenal vocals and instruments using only this microphone.
Exactly what I was looking for.
A beautiful sound quality and a great mic are the things I admire about this product. Products are great and the price is great.
