Despite running around the block a few times, I always come back to MXL when I need My wife and I were a little concerned with some of the finer peaks and valleys on the tonal response when we checked it out. I believe that either means someone tuned it with wicked expertise, or they want to make it look like that. In my wife's experience, nothing but SM58s, E100s and XM8500s have been available. It really sounded like my neighbor was blasting their music whilst I was recording, and I couldn't hear it all (Make sure you aim your mic properly at all times!) As far as I've noticed, I have not noticed any distortion in my voice, and the software has been working great. Get a good audio interface or mixer for it and you should be good to go!.

The quality for the price is quite good and the product appears to be well made in terms of quality, so hopefully it won't fall apart over time. We upgraded our karaoke system for kids, and it works great.
