While I doubt many people require one these days, I was using a vintage mixer with only 24v phantom power and a couple of mics that required 48v. There won't be any issues. Put one of these in your rack and you're good to go. br>br>Although I now use a modern mixer, I can't seem to get rid of the Rolls RPB486. You never know if it will work.
This is powering some DI boxes for me. It hasn't caused me any problems, and it hasn't added any noise to the lines either. The unit I received had an odd issue where the LEDs on the unused channels would occasionally light up, but it was not bothersome enough for me to return it. However, it's difficult to tell what's actually using the phantom power.
I'd buy it again because it works great and does exactly what I need it to.

My Roland VS 2480's recorder is on par with any top professional recorder on the market. However, the Roland's POWER SUPPLIES are not up to par. There's nothing wrong with them, but they're not as good as the RPB 486 I recently bought. That was something I learned a long time ago, so I went with a less expensive external supply that worked better. Even so, it couldn't compare to the RPB. The R P B 486 and my Studio Projects C-XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX In terms of home recording, a single condenser microphone is about as good as it gets. It's on par with the best recording studios in the world. I can see the difference in the waveform structure as well as hear it. DEFINITION IS NEEDED MORE THAN EVER. I highly recommend this unit because it is extremely quiet. This is an example of a classic situation. In one minute, I'll teach you everything I know about power supplies that took me five years to learn. Definitely a Rolls Royce. Rog.
They perform admirably. In our newsroom and studio, this is an ideal solution for multiple cardiod lavs. The price is reasonable. I've been working nonstop for months now.
