Product Description

Splits a single monitor's signal to up to four POWERED HOT SPOTS (or other powered monitors).
A single headphone feed is split into multiple headphones.
TRS balanced inputs and outputs for balanced and unbalanced signals, as well as stereo/left/right signals.

Questions & Answers

Is it possible to send a stereo signal from my mixer to one speaker using this?

Yes, it simply combines any two signals into a single signal.

Is it possible to re-distribute mono signals using this splitter (i.e. Could an instrument cable be connected to it and run to multiple amplifiers)?

There is a Mono input and four outputs, each of which duplicates the mono input to four different sources. ex: 4 amps. In my PA setup, I use these to power four additional amplifiers from my non-amplified mixing console. I hope you find this information useful.

One dynamic microphone and one guitar (classical electric) are what I'd like to use. Is that a feasible option?

Two microphones, preferably of the same type, are recommended for this unit. You could use one dynamic microphone in your case, but I'm guessing you'll need a Hi-Fi microphone. Z to Lo- Your guitar will benefit from a Z transformer. You'd be better off getting a small mixer if you only want to use one dynamic mic and one guitar through one input.

Is it possible to use my amp's stereo speaker outs to get a mono signal for the center speaker?

No, I don't believe so. This is primarily used to combine line-level signals prior to the power amplifier.

Not a direct box, but an excellent line summing tool for short distances
5/5

This box is ideal for a specific purpose. Because the manual isn't entirely clear, here's some technical information. br>br>First and foremost, this is not a "direct box. " If you're looking for a slightly off-kilter look, this is the place to be. This is not the right product for running a stereo line signal 100 feet, but it is much less expensive than anything with a transformer. The XLR and 1/4" TS outputs are not balanced, despite the fact that they are present. br>br>However, if you need to mono sum stereo or 3 or 4 line level signals, this box does exactly that, and similar solutions are surprisingly difficult to come by. A Y-shape should never be used. Multiple outputs are combined into a single input via a cable - To do things correctly, this box employs a resistor network. As an added bonus, it's DC-compatible. phantom power from the soundboard won't blow up your device's headphone jack because of blocking capacitors.

Read the description of the product! No, there is no internal amplifier or transformer
5/5

No - There are no volume or tone controls, and stereo output is not available. No, your Luke Skywalker light saber replica will not be powered by it. It will take a stereo input, combine the stereo L/R signals into a monophonic signal, and output that (monophonic) signal via two clearly marked outputs, exactly as described. marked output ports to your amplifier or recording device of choice, recently used to provide stereo-phonic output. a PA amp and several widely-spaced speakers to provide music to a large outdoor event Large portions of the audience would have listened to only the left or right stereo channel if this combiner had not been used) - Everything went as planned.

In terms of the JIB/S: It's ideal for simple, low-cost projects
5/5

applications that use technology I purchased the Galaxy Audio JIB/S with the intention of connecting one electric guitar to multiple amplifiers at the same time, allowing me to play through any of the amps without having to rearrange cables. I was planning to build an ABCD/Y pedal that would allow me to actively switch between amplifiers before I came across this listing, but I decided to give the JIB/S a try first because the price was roughly comparable to the cost of materials for a similar device. Here are my thoughts on this little gadget after taking it apart and giving it a quick test run: br>br>The JIB/S is built in a very simple and low-cost manner. As high-tech as it gets. This is a two-part article. Five TRS jacks, one input, and four outputs are connected in a linear fashion in a one-piece steel box. This splitter is so simple, in fact, that any do-it-yourselfer can make it. er with the right tools could conceivably construct one in under an hour - All you'll need in terms of supplies is a 20-inch by 20-inch piece of paper. It doesn't need to be more complicated than this, with gauge steel or heavier, two screws, five TRS jacks, and possibly a foot of bare wire to feed one signal into several monitors. I also prefer to keep my setup as simple as possible. br>br>Aside from its simplicity, this device is quite durable for its size. Although there is a heavier chassis available, this is a passive device with no switches, so it shouldn't be subjected to the same level of abuse as, say, a typical guitar effects pedal. Whatever the case may be, this will be able to withstand a lot of abuse, and repairing something as simple as this would be a breeze if it were to become twisted out of shape. Even in the worst-case scenario, the $30 price tag isn't prohibitively expensive. In conclusion: br>br> In the right hands, the JIB/S is a no-frills audio splitter that will do exactly what it needs to do, plus a little more. This splitter provides the most bang for your buck thanks to its simple design, solid construction, and low price. It now has a permanent address. In my rig, I have a ish place. I'd say it's worth a shot at the very least, don't you think?.

Solves a problem in a neat and efficient manner
5/5

Who knew that converting a stereo line signal (in this case, a headset) to mono was a little more difficult than splitting a mono signal to stereo? br>br>I have this to feed a ReAmp box to re-amp one of the (stereo) headset mixes from my Zoom LiveTrak L12. amp my (mono) unprocessed guitar recording (I can only get a stereo signal out of it). ) in the comfort of my own home. The XLR connection is used because my ReAmp box requires a balanced line. In the meantime, the fact that it has an unbalanced 1/4 output is reassuring. br>br>Nice piece of equipment for my needs.

Exactly what I was looking for - It's a must-have if you want to listen to stereo iPhone music through a mixer! With my home rehearsal equipment, I use this product
5/5

A RCA to 1/8" cable was purchased. I plug the XLR output from this device into my mixer, and BOOM - I'm done. My iPhone produces stereo sound! I use my iPhone to play along with music, and this product allows me to hear the music in full stereo! It's fantastic! Metal case with a solid feel to it. It would be a breeze to take this to a gig and use it to play music from my iPhone through the PA!.

Great product; I'm using it to get a mono sum of a Google Chromecast's stereo output to feed into a multi-channel amplifier
5/5

For whole-house audio, set up zones. With the exception of the bathroom, all of the rooms are stereo, so I needed to sum the bathroom speaker. This works well and avoids phase cancellation, which can occur when using a Y Cable.

Convert a quadraphonic decoder to a five-channel decoder
5/5

Receiver with only one channel. That'll do it! I've been trying to figure out how to hook up an old SQ Quadraphonic Decoder to my 5. 1 receiver for surround sound. Because the Sub-woofer is not connected to the four surround channels, there is no bass. Woofer isn't linked to the internet. This little tidbit gets the job done. I used the four signal sources from the Tape-to-Digital converter. I went out to the SQ box and plugged everything into the JIBR. Everything is mixed into a single mono channel. That is the channel that I connect to my Sub-woofer. On the receiver, there is a Woofer channel. It's fantastic! Now I can listen to my old SQ Quad LPs through my surround system and get quadraphonic sound, or four. 1 sound. This is ideal!.
