Questions & Answers

Is there an AC adapter included?

It does come with a 100-volt AC adapter. 240 VAC, 50 Hz 'Full Range' at 60 Hz 0V 12V output 42A (a good suggestion). It came with a US (NEMA 1-rated) power supply. 15) A two-prong plug is standard.

Can I connect my computer to this power supply?

The device in question is a PHANTOM power supply, which is commonly used with condenser microphones. Whatever you do, you'll almost certainly need adapters to connect it to a computer. The input/output connectors are XLR, which means they can be easily connected to a mixing board with that connector. On Amazon, you can find more answers.

Is there a USB port on this to connect it to a computer?

The Behringer is nothing more than an XLR in and XLR out for providing phantom power to a condenser microphone. There are a plethora of USB condenser microphones on the market. For around a hundred dollars, I have an AT 2020 that produces excellent sound quality. The USB microphones are powered by your computer (5 volts). One note: Because the cord length on these USB mics is limited, I use a Behringer USB mixer to record audio books. It supplies phantom power to my condenser mic (a Berhinger B1) and outputs the audio to my computer via a USB cable.

What's included in the package?

It simply comes with an adapter that allows you to plug it into a wall outlet. The XLR cables must be purchased separately.

Each and every penny was well spent
5/5

I have a couple of smaller Behringer Xenyx mixers that use USB and have a 12-channel output. Phantom power of 15 volts When I use my bigger boy microphones, such as the AT875R, I need a little more juice to capture my entire range. This is a quick fix to ensure that I can provide the microphone with the necessary power.

Noteworthy improvements are seen immediately which makes buying this adapter 100% worth it if you travel around or use a smaller less powerful mixer like the Xeny ness. br>br>The PS400 has a switch that toggles between 12 and 48 volts, but no XLR cables are included. br>br>It's substantial for its size and has a high-end feel to it. I keep buying Behringer, but it's never the first thing that comes to mind when I'm shopping. I guess I've just grown to like their products without even realizing it until now.

I wasn't aware that the phantom power on my mixing board was only up to twenty-something when I bought my mic, so it didn't have a power button
4/5

Rather than purchasing a new mixer, I discovered this reasonably priced device, which works flawlessly right out of the box. I expected it to be a lot smaller (which is a good thing), but it's still very solid and sturdy. br>br>My only complaint is that it lacks a power button, which I probably should've looked into more closely. The instructions even state that to turn it off, you must "pull out the main cord plug. " In theory, a button should accomplish this, but it still seems odd to have to turn it on and off in this manner. It would be ideal if it included this feature, and if I had known, I would have chosen something else. It's only a minor annoyance at this point, and at this price point, the hassle of looking for something else isn't really worth it. I'll just have to put up with it until I can afford a new mixing board.

Fantastic Necessity is a word that comes to mind when I think of the word The importance of this product cannot be overstated
5/5

When it comes to condenser microphones, not all of them require full 48V (EVEN IF THEY SAY SO). Most mixers and preamps, on the other hand, only have a 48V option. In my limited experience, this can add extra noise; however, the 12V provided by this product achieves a cleaner sound when only 12V is required. I own a Behringer C-series amplifier. 3 microphone, which does not have BAD noise at 48V when using a preamp, but when I use only 12V through this product, the noise that IS present at 48V is reduced by almost exactly half (as measured by my software's level meter) with NO loss in sound quality. This product is a great way to only use what you need, and it might even save you some noise when a mic doesn't require a full 48V! br>br>The only drawback is that instead of requiring you to unplug it, I wish it had an off button. It would also be nice if it had 9V, 24V, and 36V power options, to provide even more power options for other microphones that may require more or even less than 12V but less than 48V (not that other products on the market provide this versatility; It's merely an idea).

Solid and unobtrusive

For an MXL 990, I used this as phantom power. For this application, this is sufficient. br>I don't detect any artifacts or distortion, so this appears to be acceptable.

This small device is ideal for powering a condenser choir microphone that we recently installed
5/5

This small device is ideal for powering a condenser choir microphone that we recently installed. All of the Behringer products I've purchased have left a lasting impression on me, and this one is no exception. It's small and quiet, and it does the job perfectly. br>Another reviewer noticed a "hum" at the 12v level (the unit has a switch that allows you to choose between two phantom power levels). I noticed the same hum, but when I changed the voltage to 48 volts, the hum disappeared and the power became completely silent. Theory: The 12v power comes directly from a small, wall-mounted power supply. In the end, this was not an issue because the microphone I installed could handle up to 52 volts.

The right amount of heft for a small package
5/5

For those mics that need it, this is a great phantom power supply. It's a solid metal enclosure with a visible green power LED that's not too bright. With an MXL770 and an AGPtek XLR/USB cable, I've only used it in the 48V position and haven't noticed any additional hiss. Keep in mind that the MXL770 produces some hiss/low-frequency noise at 0dB. noise level, but at a - At 0dB, I can't pinpoint where the hiss is coming from because the line is clear and I don't have enough equipment. It has no feet, so it can easily slide around a desk. br>br> On the bottom, there are two threaded holes that resemble 4-inch holes. 40 or 6- 32, and it might be possible to mount it, but only with a few threads of engagement. I've got it set up so that the inputs are pointing up in the air, and it's plenty stable for my needs. br>br>The power adapter is a wall-mounted device. The packaging was a fairly simple-to-understand wart. 2 staples are used to open the blister pack.

My Indian instrument is a delicate one. This was chosen for me by my husband after extensive research. I'm not sure how it works with other instruments, but I'm glad to have it.
