Questions & Answers

Will the Midland WR100 weather warning radio work with this?

This FM antenna connector does not work with the WR100 weather warning radio's antenna interface. Please accept my apologies for not being able to use it.

Is there any reason why this wouldn't work on a window in an RV?

Dear Jac, car radios are installed on the antenna to ensure that there are no problems; however, if your car is attached with a protective film containing metal, it will have a negative effect on your radio; you can try putting the antenna outside the car or opening the test to receive the effect; I hope this information is helpful; thank you.

Will this fit a Toyota Sienna van from the year 1999?

This item does not, in my opinion, justify the time and effort required to order and install it. It almost equaled the performance of my original antenna. "Almost". You'd be better off spending a little more money on one and hoping for the best. It didn't amplify the FM signal enough for me to notice the difference. It does, in fact, blend in nicely with the headliner. You can't tell it's there because it's not visible or audible.

Will this fit a Dodge Ram Pickup from the year 1998?

Yes, if "work" means "three channels."

Surprised in a good way
5/5

I have a 5th generation 4runner with a Pioneer head unit that I replaced the factory unit with. The factory HU on the Toyota AM/FM antenna uses two antennas, whereas the Pioneer can only use one. As a result, when using the Toyota antenna on the Pioneer, reception is extremely poor. because the antenna can only be connected on one "side" br>From here, I began my search for an antenna replacement that would perform admirably while requiring no drilling or mounting on the vehicle's exterior. I discovered a GF-friendly restaurant. I came across the Link antenna and decided to give it a shot, figuring that if it didn't work out, I could return it. br>I plugged it into the HU and tuned to an AM station that wouldn't come in on half of the Toyota antena and was pleasantly surprised to find that it did. I then experimented with antenna placement before deciding on the back of my rearview mirror, primarily because it was completely inconspicuous and provided excellent reception. br>So far, it's been a big hit in town; I'll report back after a road trip to see how it performs out in the country.

It's better than the original
5/5

Unless something is truly awful, I rarely take the time to write a review. This, however, is an outlier. Wow, this antenna is extremely effective. My old antenna was terrible, and installing the fender mount can be difficult. As a result, I decided to give it a try. I'm glad I took the opportunity to do so. I'm not sure what to say about the negative reviews that claim it doesn't work. It took about 15 minutes to install and find a suitable mounting location. I'm also getting radio stations from 50 miles away that are crystal clear. Take a chance and try it out.

This is effective! This item was installed in a Lexus GS300 that was 20 years old
5/5

A factory regular antenna was never installed on that car. It had a black box secret sauce noise suppressor and a proprietary antenna built into the dash. It was not possible to adapt it to the new Sony radio. We decided that this was the decade to upgrade because the new Sony radio allows for a backup camera. This is my wife's daily driver, and she spends most of her time listening to Pandora via her smartphone. We couldn't get any stations at first because we didn't have an antenna. I believed it was critical to have broadcast radio in the San Jose, CA Bay Area so that we could be informed about earthquake and wildfire road closures, among other things. Hurricanes, tornadoes, pandemics, and riots may be more appropriate reasons. This product and a less expensive flat bar shaped antenna, both designed to be stuck to the windshield, were discovered after a quick search on Amazon. br> I had a competition, and both of us did quite well. The new total was 23 FM stations, some of which were "listenable" better than others, with a mix of ethnic stations thrown in for good measure. The other flat bar shaped antenna was less expensive, but it received one fewer AM station in the contest, despite the fact that both antennas received four AM stations. This antenna also appeared to be clearer than the less expensive one. It would have sufficed for a third of the price of this one, but it would have been a little more visually intrusive. br> Another plus is its stealthiness. It's perched behind the rearview mirror in the shaded area of the windshield. It is not visible from the outside of the vehicle. The 3M VHB tape will suffice to keep it in place. If you need to replace your windshield, it's a good idea to factor in the cost of a new antenna. After cleaning the surface with alcohol, allow it to dry before peeling and sticking. To influence the bond, apply even finger pressure. Overnight cure is complete. This stuff is used to bond the skins of semi truck trailers and airplanes. br>During my trial, I tried positioning the antenna between the radio and the dash's bottom side. A third of the stations were removed from the mix, resulting in a decrease in quality. There was enough cable to run it across the dash to the "A" pillar, up, and back to the rearview mirror area. br>The plug end makes a very positive stiff insert into the radio, but they all do, so you can be sure it won't vibrate out of place. br>When I got out of the garage after the installation, the reception had only improved. This may be the solution you're looking for for some people; it works for me.

It appears that this antenna is functional
4/5

The previous owner had disconnected the regular antenna on my car, and I was unable to reconnect it. At first, I experimented with the ZHOL New Am- The fm Hidden Windshield Antenna was ineffective. I replaced it with this model, placing the antenna plate in the upper right corner of the windshield and threading the cable along the interior trim. The radio is now tuned in, and while this antenna isn't as good as the stock one, it's better than I expected. The item is made with a high-quality 3M adhesive pad that will stick to any surface.

It works! My Honda's stock antenna receives poor AM/FM reception
5/5

I put three different aftermarket antennas to the test: Inside the car, there is a dipole, and outside there are two magnetic bases. None of them performed as well as the factory-installed model. I tried the GF-friendly version as a last resort. Antenna for LINK. It worked great, much to my surprise! Stations that were previously inaudible are now audible. The cable was run along the window seal on the headliner. Just above the rearview mirror is a small square antenna. I have not used the adhesive strip that comes with the antenna to mount it to a surface.

BUY IT! PERIOD! First, like many others who might be interested in purchasing this, I purchased an aftermarket Android touchscreen and could only get about four stations that were clear or semi-clear and always went out at specific locations
5/5

So, with this item, you'll need to do the following setup. I've tried a lot of similar things and this one is by far the best! There aren't any high-end plastic cosmetics to be found. I have a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 with nothing but PURE exposed working electrical circuit board guts! A 5" stubby was installed in place of the stock antenna. After that, I went out and purchased a "Y- SPLITTER" FM Antenna, $9 on Amazon, split the truck antenna and replaced it with this one, which is dead center under my windshield. However, in addition to the radio and antenna, I purchased an FM signal booster. This attracts both antennas, resulting in a fantastic signal with no interference. So, with a stock or aftermarket (stubby) antenna, this item I'm reviewing, and a FM signal booster, I now have access to a large number of CLEAR stations, even if I'm driving an hour to the radio station. I get so many that I can't program them on my radio because I've run out of favorites. When I select automatic search, it now comes to a halt after each 1-second interval. Finding a good locked in station takes only three seconds. At the moment, I haven't tried AM. I'm overjoyed with this setup, and it works flawlessly! I hope that this information has been beneficial.
