The cord measures about ten feet in length.
Maybe 16 inches, plus or minus a few inches.
It should work as long as you have some sort of opening, but this product is pretty awesome and simple to install; the cable is long enough to move around, and the antenna's base has a magnet, so it's a great idea to put it anywhere there's a nail or metal piece.
Auxiliary inputs are not compatible with antennas, as far as I know. The bigger problem is that, while this antenna did connect to my Bose Wave Radio, it made no difference in terms of FM reception. It was a waste of money.

This was purchased to address a problem with poor reception caused by the stereo's location in the center of the house. The magnetic base of this antenna makes it easy to place it in unusual places to improve reception. Mine was affixed to the ceiling by me! Even though I was able to pick up my favorite radio station, I still experienced signal loss when walking near the antenna. The dropouts were completely eliminated by looping the coaxial cable's antenna end twice through a ferrite choke.
On a Bose wave radio, I had hoped for better reception of FM stations, but the antenna made no difference. It's also so light that it'll struggle to stand on its own. If I had spent any more money on this item, I would have been disappointed, but I thought it was worth a shot. That was not the case.
When I connected this antenna to my Bose radio, there was no discernible difference. When people stand in a specific area of the house, I usually get interference, but this did not help with the channel's clarity. One of my favorite channels is bypassed by a Bose upstairs. I was hoping that by using this antenna, I would be able to pull in the channel and save it as a favorite. There is no difference between before and after the purchase. br>br>I bought two of these antennas for each of my Bose radio/CD systems, but neither of them worked. This is a product that I am unable to recommend.
IT GETS THE JOB DONE! Exactly as stated. Using an Onkyo receiver indoors. IT GETS THE JOB DONE! Now I'm getting clear signals. Over the course of several years, I tried a variety of others.
I'm getting more stations via surround sound tuner than I was before, but I'm only going to listen to one of them. So, while it's better than before, the selection is still limited, which doesn't provide me with the variety of options I'd like. More is received by my cheap old stereo, which is located in the same room. I like how long the cord is and how slim and unobtrusive it is; I had to attach it to the top rail of one of the window mini blinds (it has a magnetic bottom) before it worked.
Returned.
It's fantastic! I wish there was an option for a longer wire! Better than I had anticipated.
I bought it because it had all of the features I was looking for in an antenna: a small, magnetic base, adapters for various FM antenna connections, and a long lead. Because of the aforementioned, it receives four stars. Because of the location, I'm still unable to determine whether it works. I'll test the reception once I'm outside and revise my rating if it deserves more stars. I thought the price was reasonable, and it arrived a day ahead of schedule and appears to be of good quality. Given all of this, I would recommend this product to anyone in need of a movable antenna.
