They're VERY BRITTLE in appearance. I bought these to use on my patio as mister heads. br>I used 20 zip ties and had to replace about half of them because they broke in my hand while I was tightening them up. br>br>I wasn't even dragging them across sharp metal. Several of them snapped in my hand at the point where the top meets the bottom, where they begin to zip. With only a few pulls, it broke.
I wouldn't buy these again if they were 75% off because it is frustrating when they break in half almost as they don not as they don not br>br>On top of that, I have little faith in their ability to stay fastened. I'm confident they'll separate. br>In the end, I replaced some of the ties with some thinner ties I already had (which did not break). So let's see what happens. br>br>Just be aware that you have been forewarned. These are, in my opinion, complete and total nonsense.
So I've got a big bag full of dozens of different zip ties - Various materials are used, ranging from thin plastic to giant 17" (and thick) metal. br>br>These were described as "brittle: However, for my intended application, I didn't require them to be extremely strong. I was only planning on using them to separate cables (see attached photo), so I was really only looking for a wider-mouthed option. than- zip ties, as usual But, to my surprise, they are not at all brittle. They're actually more durable than many of my other zip ties. I'm not sure if some people got bad batches or if these were upgraded because people complained about how brittle they were, but They're surprisingly strong for their size, and I'm considering purchasing a second pack for general use.
" I'm not a big fan of these. First and foremost, they are not white as depicted in the photo. These are a yellowish "computer plastic tan" color from the 1980s. This isn't the white color you're looking for if you want them to blend in. If you don't mind the "off" color, it's not a big deal. br>br>I intended to use these to bundle and run wires along a ceiling and beneath a table. More than 50% of these breaking in the process of installation I found in the process of installation I found more than 50% of these breaking in the% The strap is extremely brittle, and one or both of the connection points at the base broke while I was attempting to use it. br>br>I would never recommend this product to a friend or consider purchasing it again.
So, who knew zip ties weren't all created equal? I bought these to attach plastic sleeve rain gutter extenders to my down spouts because I ran out of my 14" zip ties from the previous year. I bought these with the expectation that they would work in the same application. Nope. br>br>Only ONE SIDE of these zip ties has teeth; the very beginning Obviously, this is important if you need to crank something hard in order to get a good seal. Because they were slick plastic on the back side, there was nothing to catch as I cranked back with pliers, these zip ties kept spinning without tightening as much as I needed. I had about three old ones that I discovered, and I noticed that they worked better because the old ones had teeth on both sides, allowing you to fully crank them down without the zip tie spinning. br>br>(Photo on the left:) these zip ties, photo on the right: zip ties that I had on hand. )br>br>These zip ties are fine for simply attaching something to something else IF you don't need them to be super tight.
I took pictures so you could see how it compares to my white walls.
I was able to attach them to the bottom of the desk with these clips, and if I needed more stability, I could use a screw through the designed hole and into the desk. It works perfectly and lasts a long time. The loop's small latch system is ideal for all cord sizes; ranging from small to large I would strongly advise anyone and everyone to use this service.
I'm not sure if these were baked in the sun or if they're old, but the plastic is "yellow," not "clear" or "white. " Not only that, but many of them broke while attempting to loop them around the strap. So, not only are they not aesthetically pleasing, but I am not optimistic that they will last long. I had to stop using them, unfortunately.
Already losing stickyness, which is a term I coined. They appear to be fine and are simple to install, but I'm annoyed that I'll have to cut them off and replace them with a better brand.
