Everything is destroyed by the sun over time, and this product may last months or years depending on color and conditions; there are too many variables to give an exact timeline before color fades or cracks.
It'll be fine if you keep it away from the exhaust. I used 3/8 red on my spark plug wires to dress up my engine, but it burned where it came into contact with my headers. To replace the two wires that touched and melted, I had to order an additional 10'. I'm separating and suspending the wires from the headers this time with zip ties.
My 8-year-old cat has developed a bad habit of chewing on nearly every electrical cord in my house. I bought this product in desperation to keep my cat from chewing on electrical cords and potentially electrocuting and killing himself. I've been doing this for the past 8 years and I'm happy to report that he has not been able to bite through this plastic tubing and is alive and well, I believe, as a result. I've used the half-inch and smaller sizes, and I've found that the larger the tubing is, the more difficult it is for the cat to chew on it (mine does try), but it doesn't penetrate it to get to the electrical cord.br>I hope this was of some help to you, and that it works as well for you as it has for me.

Chewing is a favorite pastime for my cat. I tried spraying a repellent on the cords and covering them with blankets as much as I could. I decided to get these after my cat chewed through 6 cords in less than 2 weeks and the other methods were ineffective; I bought two sets of 50 feet and they covered most of my cords. He's left bite marks on the tubing, but he hasn't been able to pierce through and get to the cords. br>br>Tip: if you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, try using the words " Put a mini binder clip on the end of your cord if it's frequently unplugged and falling through the tubing (the photo shows 1/2" tubing; I haven't tried it with any other sizes, but I imagine it would work with a larger clip)br>br>Update: This continues to work well for me. One review stated that theirs could be chewed up by a kitten, while another stated that the larger diameters appear to be more difficult for cats to chew through. I bought both the 1/2" and 3/4" sizes. My cat has left bite marks on both of them but hasn't chewed them through. If you have a cat who chews aggressively, I agree that anything smaller may not be the best option.

I used a few of these (1/4", 3/4", and 1") and found them to be excellent. 5") to help clean up the area behind my TV Entertainment Center, which is located in the center of my living room. I had to clean it up a bit because walking behind it to the bedroom or bathroom looked so bad. Because a picture is worth a thousand words, I decided to post Before and After photos. I could do it even better if I wanted to be a complete perfectionist about it. However, I believe it now looks fantastic. P. br>br>P. br>br>P. br>br>P. What You Pay For Is What You Get! Finally - a high-quality, OEM-approved product Wire loom in the style of a loom used in automobiles. Other split tubing wire looms I've bought on Amazon are made of extremely thin plastic. It's served me well in the past, but this stuff is extremely difficult to work with. You pay a little more for a far better product, and there appears to be a reason for that - because the content is of good quality - It's a thicker, more substantial plastic than the others I've used before - finally! Thank you to whoever is responsible for creating this. I ordered 100 feet of both black and white 1/4 inch and will be ordering the 3/8 inch soon!.
This has proven to be a complete success. our in- Bella the cat, the "shark" of the house! pooh pooh pooh pooh pooh pooh He laughed it off until he realized she'd chewed through his brand-new phone cord, which he'd just ordered! Hah! Pay attention to what the woman is saying.
My cats repeatedly bit through the plastic tubing while I was on Oxygen 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. When this happened, the amount of oxygen flowing through the tubing to me was reduced. So this wasn't just a matter of convenience; it was a medical issue. I looked on the internet for something to cover and protect the tubing, but couldn't find anything. I was unable to locate anything that would suit my needs. Finally, I came across 1/4" Split Wire Loom Tubing, which I wrapped around my oxygen tubing. It's fantastic! Also, the cost is reasonable. It keeps the tubing in perfect condition for the entire month. I must admit that being tethered and dragging 50' of all of this behind me is not my favorite thing. But that's the way things are. If you buy it, make sure you get a Wire Loom Installation Tool (1/4" - 1/4") as well. 7/16") to aid in wrapping the oxygen tubing around it. Otherwise, the task will be long and tedious, and your fingers will not enjoy it! br>br>UPDATE: November 28th, 2018 - This product is still being used to cover my oxygen tubing. It still works perfectly! I replace it twice a year, using 50' each time, and the idea was well received by visiting Home Health providers, who are now offering it to their patients. br>br>UPDATE: March 23rd, 2020 This product is still in use, and it continues to work well in protecting oxygen tubing from cat bites!.
ELECTRIDUCT: a device that converts electricity into electricity. I'm in the process of responding to your photo request. Take a look at the comparison between the two colors I recently ordered. They are not compatible with my oxygen tubing, as previous orders were. (As an example, see the yellow one I purchased in May 2017-) It's the right size. ) I've already asked for the red one to be replaced. And I just got the gray one today, so I'll have to return it as well. On each of those orders, I'm also including a photo of the bar code in case that helps narrow down the issue if it's a bad batch. I'm waiting for your response on whether I should reorder and hope that the new order is the right size, or order something else. Thank you very much for your assistance. br>WILL UPDATE REVIEW ON SELLER'S RESOLUTION).
This was purchased shortly after the adoption of two male kittens. This tubing has been fantastic for me because I am on oxygen 24 hours a day. The cats can now bite and play with the cords without puncturing them, despite the fact that it took a while to get everything on. I chose red so that anyone else in my house could see the cord running through it. Very pleased!.
