  I'm not sure why finding this product was so difficult for me, but the important thing is that I did. It only took me 5 minutes to set up, and it works better than I could have hoped with various length cords. You simply wrap the cord protector around each cord, and when one needs to stick out somewhere other than the beginning and end, it does so. I'm not sure how many cords she's chewed through-- All of our phones' charging cords, alarm clocks, and lamps. I was certain I'd come across her fried (much like Aunt Bethany's cat in the National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation film). I experimented with chewing sprays, which seemed to encourage her to chew more. For our phones, I purchased braided charging cables. But I was hoping for ANY kind of assistance in getting her to stop chewing, and then I came across these sleeves. br>br>These sleeves are simple to install and can usually wrap around multiple cords at once, which is beneficial for television equipment (cable box and DVD player). Simply open the sleeve and slide the cords inside; to date, my cat has not chewed any cords since I encased everything in these sleeves! Because you can cut these to any length you want, be sure to have scissors on hand when installing them. This is the second time I've bought this item to cover all of the exposed cords I could find! br>br>MAY 2019 UPDATE: I've purchased these sleeves twice and use them on all of my lamps, television, and any other exposed cords I can think of. So far, everything has gone well! They're doing everything they can to keep my cords and this crazy cat safe.

Electric cords are something my cat enjoys chewing on. Over the last two years, I've experimented with a variety of cord-covering products. Nothing, however, appears to be able to keep my kitten from chewing them. What concerns me the most is that when my kitten chews on cords, he will receive an electric shock. I discovered this product a few days ago, and it has made my cord more flexible. My cat attempted to chew at first, but the cord protector prevented her from doing so. She had no choice but to relinquish her position. My cat doesn't seem to be as interested in chewing on my cords as he used to be. Wow, it appears that I have won. What a fantastic cord guard. I should've gotten it sooner.

The sleeve is good, soft, and curls tightly, as expected. If you're not sure what size you need, here's a guide: I have a cable that is slightly larger than a quarter inch in diameter. It's diameter, not radius, circumference, or flattened tube width (half the circumference). I bought a 1/4" sleeve. I was able to get the cable into the sleeve and it now fits perfectly. I deduce that the size refers to the inner diameter of a sleeve when it is empty.

No matter how hard I try, one of my cats will chew holes in every cord she can find. Until now, that is. I tried it on one cord to see how it worked and discovered that she isn't as interested in it as she once was. Now all I have to do is slap it on every cord I can think of to keep them and her safe. Depending on how many I use it on, I may need to order another, but not having to replace my cords on a regular basis will be well worth it. Not to mention how awful it would be if she was injured as a result of her actions. Using regular scissors to cut through the mesh to fit it to my cord was also simple. I'll buy from you again without a doubt.

They did, however, enjoy chewing on phone charging cords, power cords, and anything else they could get their hands on. in the meantime, we kittens While we were able to proof the simple things like lamp power cords by simply taping them up and securing them, we were unable to find a solution for some items that needed to be left lying around, such as a phone charging cable. This worked perfectly. However, we discovered that if the cats figure out how to remove the power plug from the back of the automatic cat feeder, they can then slide it off the cord; a simple zip tie at the end of the cord solved this problem. They were able to play with it after it was removed, which was fortunate. If you have chewers at home, this is a must-have!.
