Could someone tell me how many inches there are between the box and the end of the handle (width of handle)?

3" wide, with a total width of 10" (7" 3").

Is the hand crank on the unit on the right or left? The cad diagram is on the left, but the product image is on the right. ?

The power cord access opening is the same in the front and back, so you can mount it left-hand crank or right-hand crank by rotating it 180 degrees. I mounted it on the left side so that it would fit snugly against my RH basement wall. It works great, and the cord takes up a lot less room than when I had it coiled on the floor.

Is it possible to put it up?

I don't see why you couldn't do it because it's made of fairly heavy gauge steel. Make sure the surface to which you're mounting it is solid. It will be quite heavy once the power cord has been reeled in.

Is there a way to keep the cord male end connected to the RV at all times so it's always hot?

No, with this setup, you place the female end of the plug in the center of the reel, and it spins as you roll up the cord.

The item was damaged when it arrived

I can't seem to find a way to contact the seller about this issue, so I'm hoping that someone in charge will see this review and get in touch with me: Today's delivery was successful. The box was pretty scuffed up, as you can see in the photos, and there were obvious attempts to tape it over. A hole had been punched in the box by the handle that protrudes from the side. As a result, the rubber coating on the plastic nut, as well as the bolt that is part of that nut, have been damaged to the point where turning the handle is difficult. As you can see in the photo, the bolt is bent. I'd like a replacement nut/bolt and rubber cover so that I can get this thing to work properly. I'll gladly update my review once I get it working.

I've been looking for a way to store my 50-amp power cord, which is quite heavy and bulky. We recently purchased a new fifth wheel, and while looking for it, we came across a model with a powered cord reel, which piqued my interest. When I was looking into cord reels, I liked the Mor Ryde because it is narrower and takes up less space in the storage bay. I also like the fact that it is manual; there is no wiring to worry about, and there is no need for a backup plan. br>br>It was purchased from a third-party vendor through Amazon. On time and in perfect condition, the delivery was made. Four screws in the floor made installation a breeze. The reel is simple to turn, and the cord can be easily cleaned with a towel as it comes in. It also spools nicely. My cord is 30 feet long and works perfectly. The best part is that you don't have to worry about hooking it up to the power. br>br>This is a very straightforward solution to the problem of heavy cord handling. It's one of my favorites, and I'd recommend it to anyone.

It's a lot easier to store the shore power cord now

In the pass-through storage area, it's simple to put in place. It's made deploying and retrieving our 50 amp shore power cord a breeze. No more clumsy coils that never seem to stay in the right place. The build quality is excellent. My only criticism is the manner in which it is packaged for shipment. Because of insufficient packaging and rough handling during transit, one of our mounting ears was bent. Everything was fine after I bent it back with an adjustable wrench.

We purchased this and installed it in our 5th wheel's pass through. This can easily handle it thanks to the 50 amp cord. It does take up a small amount of space, but it is well worth it! I strongly advise you to try it!.

Excellent item - It's simple to set up and use. There's no need to wrestle with the 50 A cord or move it out of the way just to get into the storage bay. Even without the cord, it's a hefty beast, but that aids in keeping it stable and in-place. I suppose I'm in the wrong place. In a 5th wheel, use this. Because it was too large to fit in the front compartment, I had to store it in the garage. Perhaps I should have gone with the smaller, squatter reel, but it's working out fine. It's a little pricey, but IMHO it's worth it to get that cord up and out-of-the-way. the- way.

My MORryde Reel arrived in a damaged box, which resulted in damage to the knob and handle

Rather than returning it to Amazon, I sent an email to MORryde. I responded to the email and sent the damage photos that had been requested. I got an e-mail today. Jennifer at MORryde sent me an email stating that a new handle and knob had been shipped. br>br>Over the weekend, I installed the REEL in my travel trailer, which was a five-minute job, and it works as advertised. The 50-amp cord is simple to wind up and unwind. This is an excellent product, and the customer service is even better!.
