Questions & Answers
If the helmet's on/off switch isn't working, try connecting it to a different power source; if that doesn't work, it's possible that it's damaged.
It connects to a standard USB port, which means it will work with any MacBook that has one. On my iMac, it functions properly.
There aren't any eyes at all; in fact, there aren't any. The light is turned on and off by the mask. It is closed to turn off the light and opened to turn on the light, which illuminates the entire face area. It isn't a particularly bright light, but it is charming!
A standard led flash light costs less than this. It's fantastic for using with a computer!

I, on the other hand, ripped his eyes out. He's such a sweetie! I purchased it for work in order to use it with a tool that requires a small light. But I decided he wasn't bright enough, so I ripped off his mask, dismantled his head, and replaced his eyeballs with better LEDs. My little astronaut's eye sockets are bursting at the seams with 2 watts of power. He is magnificent, and when he returns to his home planet, he will almost certainly be worshipped as a god. Bob, the suffering will be well worth it.
This little spaceman makes me extremely happy. I purchased it because I am a sucker for nerdy gadgets. It blends in nicely with the rest of my eclectic decor. The flexible gooseneck is sturdy and holds its position no matter how you position it. I've read some reviews in which people thought their astronaut was broken because it wouldn't turn on when they opened the helmet. When I first tried to turn mine on, I thought the same thing, but I quickly learned that the helmet cover must be slid all the way to the back of the astronaut's head and then SNAPped into place. The light will turn on once it has been properly snapped. There is a small push-button here. The helmet must be locked into a button on the back of the helmet. You can also use your finger to press the button, but your finger has more important things to do than hold this button down all day. As a result, the locking helmet feature is something I strongly recommend. I have small hands, so unlocking the helmet to turn the astronaut off is a challenge for me, but I also have trouble with pickle jars. Problems of the First World I haven't tried reading a book or studying rocket science while staring at the bright white LED glow shooting out of this astronaut's eyes, but I'm sure there are some hardcore geeks out there who can and do (good luck with your studies, my friends). Overall, if you enjoy strange and unusual items, this USB Astronaut Light is ready to be added to your Amazon shopping cart right now. It has a solid feel to it and is well worth the arduous mail delivery trip. Imagine the stories it could tell if it could talk, given that it was made in China. Rather than rolling our eyes at the source, perhaps we should consider a different perspective. I'm not sure about you, but I've never traveled across an ocean in a cargo container. This alone qualifies this astronaut as a courageous individual. Yep. Simply put, this review belongs in the category of "yet another Amazon customer with far too much time on her tiny bored hands. " Yo, this is a great product.
This little guy is adorable, and he comes in handy when I'm up all night reading. He does, however, have a serious flaw. He drinks on the job and wobbles all over the place, so I frequently have to assist him in maintaining his balance. br>He does provide adequate light, in fact, he is quite bright, so I have to turn him away from the screen on a regular basis. br>He gets a 5 for cuteness, and a 4 for lightness. 5 (depending on how much light I require), 4 (purchase price), 10 (durability), 1 (stability). No matter how much I chastise him, he just can't seem to get a handle on things. br>I'm going to buy the necklace light despite the fact that it's cute. I'll keep him around for nostalgia's sake, but a girl has to do what a girl has to do, and no matter how cute he is, he can't keep failing to deliver when I need him!.
not to mention yourself! This little guy is both adorable and cool. His "hose" is stiff enough to support him in almost any position, though I've noticed that vertical USB slits (such as those on the sides of monitors, etc. ) are a challenge for him. When someone needs a little light in a dark room, I've placed him near the coffee table during movies. I've used him in the car late at night to make sure people can see what I'm doing, such as digging through a purse. Most of the time, I keep him plugged into a USB outlet on my counter and turn him on at night to provide some light. He appears to be very cute as he hovers over a bottle of wine, as if he has traveled millions of miles to find the greatest thing in the universe. br>br>To get his visor to turn on, you must push it all the way back until it clicks. It takes some getting used to, but it's not a big deal, aside from initially thinking you got a dud, or when a friend tests him out and is afraid he'll break.
It was a hit with my niece, who is a year old. She enjoys reading books (real books), and she reads in the car with this light. It works perfectly after her father plugged it into a lighter USB adapter plug. This little clip is extremely durable and has a bendable design. This little Astronaut is very well made, and the helmet can be raised. down to turn the light on or off The USB LED light is highly recommended. It's entertaining, useful, and adorable all at the same time.
For the price (which has gone up a dollar since I bought it, I see), this is a cute little light. Keep in mind that if you keep pulling the helmet back and forth, it will eventually stop staying down, rendering the light useless (since you won't want to hold the light down with your finger). ) I'm going to use a regular switch for my next light. Unfortunately, this astronaut is not timeless [reference to Dr. Who:.
It's cute, but it's not very practical. It's not particularly bright, and the helmet's face doesn't light up completely as shown. It's two small LED eyeballs, so there's a little deception/camera trickery going on here. The paint job could benefit from a bit more realism. The wire that holds it in place is extremely strong and extends much further than anticipated. It's merely a "passable" product.
It was purchased to supplement an alarm clock that lacked lit buttons but did have a USB port. The helmet visor serves as an on/off switch: To activate the micro switch, the visor must be fully retracted. I was in desperate need of something like this. As you navigate the room, it's bright enough to serve as a night light.
