Questions & Answers
This wrist rest's gel is much softer than that of the mouse pad's wrist rest. The mouse pad is thick and heavy, whereas the keyboard wrist rest is soft and squishy. Both are of excellent quality and provide a great deal of comfort.
My nose can't detect anything, but if you put it right up to your nose, you might be able to. Nothing sticks to your wrists, either.

I'm not sure, but I really like it. It can be used on a daily basis to relieve wrist strain. I've had it for a while and it's in excellent condition. I would strongly suggest it.

I use it for my work computer's standing desk attachment (I work from home full-time), so I needed something small to fit on the keyboard shelf of my standing desk attachment, and this fit perfectly, as did the 3M gel wrist rest for the mouse. br>br>My issue is that when I'm sitting and looking at my phone, I have a habit of resting my elbows on the keyboard pad or holding my head up to look at my screen while scrolling through something. I've only had it for a month and my elbows have already left permanent divots in the pad on both sides. I tried massaging the divots out, but they won't go away no matter what I do, which is a little disappointing given the price I paid; I would have expected these to hold their shape a lot better for the price. I haven't found many keyboard pads that I like that are this compact and fit my standing desk attachment, so I'll keep using this one until I do.
Pro:
- It's very simple to clean; all you have to do is wash it in the sink. You won't have to worry about it absorbing water because there is no absorbent material.
- I expect it to last a long time and not split open because of the high quality material used throughout. br>br>Con:
- I don't like the firmness of the gel. When I rest my wrists on it, it doesn't seem to give in the least.
- On the top, it appears to be too round. It could be because it's only 2 inches wide; I thought this would be a good size for me because I have small hands and wrists, but it feels awkward; I also believe the roundness is due to the gel being too firm.
- If you have a thin or low-profile keyboard, you'll have to elevate it slightly to make it comfortable. Otherwise, pressing the space bar requires moving your thumb down a long distance, which is inconvenient.
After trying three other wrist pads, I decided on this one, and I was hopeful because "3M" is a name you can't go wrong with. br>br>Perfectly squishybr>Foam pads are too rigidbr>Gel is *exactly* what you need- I was concerned that it would be too bouncy, as some wwhatbr>The length is just right, and it goes over and supports my mouse wrist as well, since I have a tenkeyless keyboard.
If you have small wrists, this is probably a good choice. Aside from that, it appears to be long-lasting and well-made. constructed and of sufficient length I'm probably going to keep it and use it with the Fellowes plush anyway. I was looking for microbeads but couldn't find any that were long enough.
I didn't realize the gel pad had a solid backing, and after a few months of use, the hard piece began to bother my wrist, so I moved the laptop up and purchased new padding. I put it on my desk to rest my elbow, but it began to hurt, and the gel became contorted as a result of the elbow, never regaining its original shape. I wish there was a way to get a refund for this, but it's too late now. You don't always realize these things until it's too late.
I just got my second one in the mail. I had second thoughts about spending that much money on a gel writing rest, but as soon as I set it on the edge of my desk, I was glad I did. I used to get minor marks on my arms from the pressure of my desk's edge on my arms. They're much more at ease now, and there are no scars to show for it. br>br>When using this product, the ONE thing I would advise people to be careful of is their elbows. I rested my left elbow on the product for two weeks, and it caused some dents; I called 3M to see if this was normal, and the representative was adamant that the product was not designed to withstand elbow pressure. Thankfully, Amazon accepted it and sent me a replacement (thank you, Amazon!). ), so I'm going to be more cautious this time. br>br>Apart from that, I would recommend it to anyone who is uncomfortable at their desk because of the edge.
My keyboard is a Logitech G915, which is slightly longer and wider than most standard keyboards. The majority of the wrist pads I saw on here were too short to fit, but this one fits the Logitech G815/915s perfectly. It also has a nice, sleek appearance and a soft, squishy feel. My purchase was a great success!.
I despise the feel of those icky cloth wrist rests, so I was overjoyed when I discovered this gel version. It's ideal: it's slightly longer than my keyboard, which I prefer, and silky smooth. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.
