There are internal cable assemblies available for SAS 2 for the High Data Transfer (HD) Mini SAS SFF-8643 36 pin connectors. With 1, 6Gb/s, and SAS 3, you have the best possible performance. Standard 0 with a 12Gb/s bandwidth. In hybrid versions of these new cables, a smooth transition from 6Gbps to 12Gbps can be achieved.

The SFF-8643 connector is a new device that uses less PCB space and is designed for internal hosts and devices to have a greater density of ports.

Basically what I needed, it connected my hot swap bags to my server's raid controller and, bonus, they were within the package as opposed to the 10gig Tech set I ordered.

I wouldn't call this a standard PC case since it's too long

I have a little problem with the length of this SAS cable My planned component migration will be from a standard PC case (about 3 FT) to a server case (about 15 FT). ICY DOCK ToughArmor SAS backplane and RAID controller work well with this cable, which is long, well constructed and works well.
