The vacuum is powerful, and the fact that it can be recharged is convenient. However, I had assumed that the machine's replaceable filter would be finer and more intact, but it can only catch larger particles. Vacuum fine particles, such as sanded wood or 3D prints, with extreme caution. It will get past the filter and contaminate the area you just cleaned. I bought this vacuum because I keep my keyboard near where I sand my prototypes, and I hoped it would remove all of the dust; it does, but most of it ends up back on the keyboard. You might be able to use this vacuum for fine particles if you replace the circular filter with two or three cotton rounds.
I have a pair of Bowers and Wilkins MM-80s. The fine black speaker fabric covers are dust magnets, and there are only one desktop computer speaker. They appeared to be brand new thanks to this small but mighty device. Until I got my hands on this, I couldn't figure out how to clean them. My iMac BT keyboard was next, and it worked perfectly. Next, I applied it to the focusing rings and f-stops on the outside of my camera lens. (NOT THE OPTICS OR GLASS) STOP RINGS It did an excellent job of clearing dust. br>br>The only drawbacks are that there is no fully charged light and the construction isn't particularly sturdy, but for the price, I'm very pleased.
Yes, it's cheaply made, (B) lacks a reliable filter to prevent fine particles from ejecting from the vacuum vents, and (C) feels more like a toy than a vacuum. However, (1) the suction is strong enough, and (2) the USB port is convenient. mini- With a USB-connected device, the USB cord is simple to use. (3) The USB adapter clearly pulls debris out of the cracks between keys (see third photo). While you do get what you pay for, this cheap device does a good job for its price.
I was skeptical of this tiny keyboard vacuum, but it surprised me. It does exactly what it says it will do, no more, no less. You will not be disappointed if your expectations are realistic and reasonable. To be honest, I was pleasantly surprised by how well this performed. Here's how I used this hand vacuum to help clean out the gunk that had accumulated on a few computer keyboards of various ages and with varying degrees of issues with keys sticking, difficult to press, not returning to position, and so on. br>br>Hold the keyboard upright after unplugging it. With a short, light, rapid-fire tapping motion, lightly but rhythmically tap the edges against your desktop, tabletop, or anything solid. Taps for the fire. To do this, go all the way around the keyboard. The goal is to get rid of any debris that has accumulated inside and between the keys. Then, while holding the keyboard upside down, shake it vigorously. Some of the bulky items should fall out as a result of this. Whatever you want to call it: dust, food crumbs, paper shards, and so on. The goal is to loosen it up and then shake it out. br>br>Then, using the brush attachment on the hand vacuum, go around each key, making sure the brushes make contact beneath and between the keys. I didn't expect much after tapping and shaking each keyboard, but I was pleasantly surprised when I checked the vacuum's filter after each keyboard to see how much dust, micro-dust, and other debris had accumulated. The dust, on the other hand, had remained unmoved. There was still a small amount of dust on the vacuum's filter, which can be seen. br>br>Best of all, I noticed that each keyboard tapped almost as well as new after that. The keys clicked, pressed, and released in a very clean and obvious manner. There's no need to double-press, hard-strike, or push down keys. You did a fantastic job with this kid. It performed exactly as promised. Is it something I'd use to clean my attic? No. But I'd use it to clean those hard-to-reach places that never seem to be completely clean. br>br>It's highly suggested.
Eraser stubs, cracker crumbs, and cookie crumbs work well in this item. I've been using this product for over a year and have never had any issues. The recharge lasts a long time for me, so I keep it in a small basket on my desk. I've even imparted knowledge to my great-grandchildren. It will be used by my granddaughter to pick up cookie and cracker crumbs that fall onto the carpet protector that my computer chair is sitting on. She is two and a half years old. The small vacuum cleaner performs admirably.
This is a nice little device that does exactly what the Amazon description claims. I like having it close by to clean my keyboard and work area (it's smaller than my thermos). The fact that it can be recharged is fantastic. It's not too heavy. weight - Perhaps the weight of a case for an iPhone Plus. br>The claim that the device has "powerful suction" is where I disagree with the advertisement. It has enough to do its job, but not much more. This isn't a major issue - I have a larger 'hand vacuum' that weighs a lot more, and between the two of them, I can clean the desk and keyboard as thoroughly as I want, but I'd really *love* more power!.
It was impossible to turn on the device. It did turn on, but the motor only made a faint hum and there was no suction. The device would not provide enough power even after being charged for several hours.
- br>Updated on September 21st, 2018. The seller sent a replacement unit after the item was returned. I charged it, and it functions as intended. This device can be used to clean the dust and crumbs from your keyboard. It has adequate suction for its size, but I'm not sure I'd use it in my car simply because of its size; vacuuming a car would take all day. I've changed my rating from one to four stars because this is a good little device for the price.
