The seller should seriously consider creating a non-illuminated version of this item. It's most likely a simple production change. Many customers want an outlet near their bed that is free of distracting lights. Batteries are used by lights as well. The non-illuminated version is now available for purchase!

After reading some reviews, I discovered that this device contains a light. It's actually blue now that I've read more. There is no mention of a blue light anywhere in the title. There is no way to turn it off or do anything about it. This appealed to me because it lacked a light and was the only usb-powered device I could find. I could only find a c and usb combo. In any case, I'll have to figure it out, but I like it otherwise.
In my truck, it was very simple to install. To avoid cutting too large a hole, I used a step drill and went slowly. I was able to position it near a power outlet that used to be known as a cigar lighter outlet (but is now known as a PC). I stole power from the outlet, and now my truck's wiring keeps it running for a while after the key has been turned off. as well as being taken away Outlets for USB C and USB 2 that can be used simultaneously or separately. Adding to your car or truck is a great idea.
I put these in my new Kona and they light up but don't charge. I tried a few different cables and used them in other OEM ports, and they all worked perfectly. Now I need to go out and buy new USB outlets and install them.
This was used to provide power to an FJ Cruiser's backseat. It performs as expected, and the illuminated ring that indicates where it is located in the back is a nice touch. The only disadvantage is that it has a large footprint and thus requires a large hole to fit into.
I drilled a one inch hole and then had to file out some extra space because you need a hole that is just slightly larger than 1 inch.

Both of these plugs were installed, and they are a complete disaster! It takes an eternity for them to charge your phone. Despite the fact that my cord is plugged in, they suddenly stop charging. br>In the end, we had to purchase a different brand to replace the defective ones. Don't squander your cash or time.
