The set screws are not smoothly engaged. Even when the set screws are as tight as possible, it wants to tip over on its own depending on the orientation.
Despite the fact that the body is made of plastic, it is very sturdy. The strong stay screw will not mar the surface and will hold the item securely in place. The prism arrived in perfect condition, with sharp views up to 120 times magnification.
It's a lot clearer than a mirror 1. 25 diagonal The dust was a real pain before, so I'm going to keep it covered now.
This was purchased to correct the image in my SVBONY SV106 60mm guide scope (which I adore). The scope cannot be focused due to the 90° prism. The focuser and built-in extension tube both require more inward travel, but they are both at their smallest positions. Other than that, it's useless. Still, I'm going to give it a shot on my primary scope for my 1. Digital astronomy camera with a resolution of 25 inches. Very let down.
At 227x magnification, it's the same as a high-quality moon mirror diagonal. However, the image must be correct.
It's well-made and durable. As advertised, the image is properly oriented. I had returned a different one because the image was still mirrored even though it was right side up. The eyepiece insert is a little shallow, but unlike many other diagonals, it's made of machined metal rather than plastic.
It functions satisfactorily, but it is not constructed of the most durable materials. It performs as expected in terms of inverting the image and is clear enough for my purposes.
This is ideal for my needs. For manual guiding, I'm using it on a 60mm guide scope. To bring it into focus, I needed a 2x Barlow, which I knew going in. For this type of application, you can buy with confidence.
