Over eight years ago, I bought my father a Kodak pulse, which has performed flawlessly. My children gave me a pix star frame for Christmas about four years ago, and it has since stopped working. I bought the pix star frame for my kids for Christmas last year, and it's disappointing to think that their frames will break down in just four years. The warranty, of course, is only for three years. I'm extremely disappointed. I paid twice as much for the pix star as I did for the kodak pulse. It has been a pleasure to work with you. They're sending me a new cord to see if that's the issue, but they don't believe it will solve it. They are interested in selling me a new frame. LOL
YES, there are four of them: The screen has an actual viewing area of 8. 3x6. It's a 10 because it's 2 inch (211x158 mm). The diagonal of the screen is 4 inches. The Pix- Customer Service Team of the Year.
It is compatible with both 110 and 220 volts. The frequency range is 50/60 hz. All that is required is a Euro adapter, which I sent to my mother in Germany.

This is an amazing frame! br>br>I did a lot of research before deciding on which frame to buy, and the features of the Pix- Frames with stars. However, for all of the bells and whistles, you purchase a Digital Photo Frame to view photos as if you were framing them for display in your home. As a result, picture quality was at the top of my priority list. br>br>That's where some of the reviews drew my attention away from the brand, specifically two issues:br>* resolution (800x600 seemed a little low) andbr>* color temperature (many reviews claimed blue tint on most pictures compared to other devices like tablets and phones)br>br> The resolution on the 4 inch model is 800x600 pixels, which translates to a 96dpi display at that size. This is similar to the resolution of many LCD or LED monitors you use on a daily basis. The dpi on the 15" model is actually a little lower, despite the higher pixel count, which is why I went with the 10". Of course, you can see the pixels if you put your face a few inches away from the frame, but at a normal viewing distance of 3 feet (1 meter), the frame's resolution is more than adequate, especially if the source image is from a good source such as a DSLR or a back-up camera. a modern phone's camera Selfies and other photographs taken with a lower-resolution camera End-of-the-line cameras are a little more afflicted. Nonetheless, I docked a half-star because I had hoped for a display with a resolution of at least 1024x800. It would, I believe, give the images a lot more POP. br>br>As for issue 2, I came across a very helpful post on Pix-it. According to the Star website, as of November 2015, all models support HUE correction. I ordered hoping for the best and hoping that Amazon would ship the newer model, and sure enough, I got one with the HUE correction options (as well as the motion sensor). Nonetheless, the corrections are extremely 'broad,' and I was unable to match my pro-forma. Despite the fact that the color on my DELL monitor was factory calibrated, I was able to add a significant amount of warmth to the skin tones. Still, I deducted a half-star because, while the images are now more pleasing to the eye, they lack a certain warmth. Perhaps a cool-down setting - neutral - Warm tones might be possible to implement in the future via firmware? br>br>However, the image quality is excellent. Adding a little saturation and hue shift to the images made them look much more natural and restored the 'pop' that had been missing in some of the earlier reviews. The light bleed on the edges is one issue that has been mentioned in online reviews. I regret to inform you that this is correct. While this isn't an issue with a full image that fills the frame, when the image is inverted and you're left with black stripes, light bleed on the borders is very visible, especially if the ambient light is dim or non-existent. It is barely visible if the ambient light is bright. This, however, does not detract from the image's quality, but it can be distracting at times. There isn't enough of a problem for me to lose interest in the product. br>br>In terms of features, the Pix- Star is by far the best option; in a short amount of time, I was able to insert a USB drive or SD card containing my photos, set up a mail account to begin sending photo emails to the device, and connect my favorite Facebook albums and Google Drive folders containing my professional DSLR photos. You can make the frame show them all at once by setting the following parameters: Local storage, memory cards, and web albums (the only functionality not available in the 'combo' view is the DLNA server approach, but I believe this is an understandable compromise, and I would prefer to have that option as well). br>br>I am convinced that this is the right frame. The Pix- The website is very user-friendly, and the service is quite intriguing. I can't help but applaud them for responding to or assisting almost all of the negative reviews on this site with the genuine intent of assisting rather than just 'getting the issue out of the way. ' br>br>Congratulations on the company's commitment to its clients. If money were not an issue, I would purchase another for my new home and give the rest to my family. The pix- When compared to similar offerings, star is also on the higher end of the price spectrum, but I believe the features outweigh the cost. br>br>I am very pleased with my purchase. I hope this review is useful to anyone who is on the fence like I was. It's an excellent option.
Fi). This frame was purchased as an early Father's Day present for my father, who will be 81 this year. He enjoys being surrounded by photos of his children and grandchildren. He scotch tapes them all over his kitchen, and the walls and cabinets are completely covered. We had the frame set up and connected in under 20 minutes, and he was emailing himself his favorite photos from his iPhone6. He was ecstatic to see his favorite films projected on the big screen of this movie theater. Star 15- a frame measuring in inches He was overjoyed when he discovered he could type "captions" in the subject line of each email by describing the photo. After that, I texted all of my siblings and a few of my grandchildren who have phones, and they immediately began sending him photos. It was a hit with him. We spent some time adjusting the transitions and intervals, and he learned how to look at older photos stored on an SD card; he's still a little shaky on that part (moving the slideshow from his email "inbox" to the SD card), but he'll get it. My only suggestion is that, in addition to symbols, words be added to the remote control buttons. He's not great at deciphering symbols, but he'll figure it out eventually. I frequently give him gifts that don't quite work out (either because they are too technical for him or because they aren't exactly what he wants). This frame, on the other hand, was EXACTLY what I was looking for. If the gift is for an older relative, I would simply recommend giving it in person to avoid the hassle. It is possible to help them clean up.
Over the years, I've been a big fan of Pix Star frames (I've bought about ten so far). This new model, on the other hand, is designed in such a way that it is difficult to comprehend. These can't be hung on the wall horizontally anymore. They do, in fact, have mounting holes on the back. However, because they are three inches off center, they can't be used! There is simply no justification for such egregious design flaws. The previous generation's back panel had perfectly aligned mounting holes and screws for vertical and horizontal hanging. This "new" generation appears to have hung the hols in haphazard places, making it impossible to hang them properly! Simply put, this is a flaw in the design.
