PW20 NP- To use my Sony A6000 camera on wired power (rather than batteries), I purchased a FW50 Dummy Battery AC Adapter Power Supply. It's the perfect fit, and the camera's battery cover has a special opening for this purpose. Usage: br>br> Converts a battery-operated camera into a stationary AC-powered device. To begin, double-check that your device is compatible (read the descriptions, look up your camera's capabilities elsewhere, and so on). To use my Sony A6000 as a webcam, I had to download some official Sony software from Sony's website (for mic sound, a dedicated mic is also recommended because the software configurations were not working for me). For my Sony A7II, I purchased this power supply a few months ago. It explicitly states that it will fit my model in the listing. Because I was confident that it would work, I made the mistake of waiting a few weeks to test it out. Now that my return period has expired, I'm left to wonder if I should try my luck with another purchase. It has nothing to do with money. I'm just annoyed.

I bought it to use for streaming, but the dummy battery was not compatible with my Sony camera model, despite the fact that it was advertised as such. Don't be a slacker.

For my Sony a6000, this is perfect. It will say it is only at 50% battery occasionally, which really doesn t make sense to me. Because I use my camera as a webcam, I didn't want to be constantly changing batteries and charging them. The cable's length is more than adequate. It does a good job at a reasonable price.

I was streaming with my Sony A6100 using this dummy battery AC power, but after 45 minutes, the camera began to overheat and shut down. Thankfully, I had a webcam to use while my camera was cooling down from the dummy battery power supply.

This adapter works just as well (I've used both) for a fraction of the price, and the cord is extremely long, allowing me to route it under my desk and hide any visible cords. It was well worth the money.

It fits my A6400 camera, which I use on a tripod to record podcasts. I haven't had any problems so far, and I've recorded about four podcast pilots with no problems.
