How Our Score Is Calculated

Product Description

By entering your model number, you can make sure that this fits.
GOBE IS NOW URTH | We changed our name to better reflect what we're trying to protect, and you can find the equivalent Urth product by searching for the code B088C1XP41 on Amazon.
REDUCTION OF 10 F-STOPS | The Gobe Neutral Density ND1000 offers a fixed 10 f-stop light reduction in bright light, allowing for long exposures and motion blur techniques. Landscape photography is highly recommended.
COLOUR NEUTRAL | Designed with color neutrality in mind, with no color cast for improved image quality and truer colors.
GOBE 2PEAK | Premium Japanese optical glass with 16-layer nano-coating provides neutral color balance, reduces lens flare, eliminates ghosting, and protects against scratches, dirt, and grime, all while providing a lifetime warranty.
NO VIGNETTING | The rims are double-threaded for stacking and have a slim profile to prevent vignetting. This is not a Variable Neutral Density lens filter, but rather a Fixed Neutral Density lens filter. Check the final image in the gallery to determine the correct filter size.

Questions & Answers

What is the difference between 16 and 12 layers?

Contrary to Christians' assertion, I believe the extra coatings should have little to no effect on how easily it scratches or removes dirt and dust; it's their mid-grade filter, referred to as 2 Peak by GOBE, with 3 Peak being the highest. (Unfortunately, this distinction is not noted in the Amazon titles.) Because of the additional layers, this filter should, in theory, perform better in terms of flair and ghosting (as Christian mentioned).

Will this work for the solar eclipse that is coming up?

Hello Kenneth, we apologize for over-recommending it; we should not have stated that it is an excellent filter to use. You can stack two ND1000 filters and use them for solar photography. In the end, you'll need an 18 stop ND filter that also filters UV and IR light; these are solar photography-specific filters.

Is this compatible with the Tamron 18400mm lens?

Tamrom 18-inch Because a 72mm filter is required for a 400mm lens, this will fit. If you have a Sigma circular fisheye or one of the Zeiss Distagons in your camera bag, the 72mm filter will fit them as well. This filter is fantastic, but you should consider how you intend to use it before purchasing it, as a 3 stop plus a 6 stop filter would be less expensive. Although this filter is superior, the setup described above may be less expensive.

Is it for a sigma art 35 mm camera?

So, in the case of the Sigma Art 35mm f 1. 4 You'll need a filter with a diameter of 67mm. This one is far too small, measuring only 52mm in length. br>Aside from that, it's a great filter that I've been using on my smaller lenses quite a bit.

Long exposure photography work necessitates the use of this item
5/5

The ND Filters from GOBE are fantastic. I have a lot of them, but the ND1000 is always a blast to use to make super dramatic long-exposure photographs. shots with different exposures br>br>These filters are of excellent quality and have outperformed any "expensive" filters I've purchased. I would highly recommend these after using them for over a year.

It's quite effective
5/5

This is an excellent ND filter with a 10 stop rating. This ND filter allows for long exposures while adding little color cast, resulting in natural-looking colors in my images. The filter threads on smoothly, snugly, and remains in place. It's well-made and comes with an excellent carrying case. The filter is held in place by the foam in the case, which has indentations that help your fingers grip the lens and remove it from the case. This is important to me because I frequently change filters in the field in sand, mud, water, grass, and the forest floor, among other things. The lens stays put in the case and doesn't fall out, but it's still easy to remove when I need to add the filter quickly.

The most magnificent of waterfalls
5/5

Waterfalls love it. I'd recommend getting a variety of tint shades for various lighting situations. This one's got a lot of darkness to it. Picture: br>br>

Good purchase for a good cause! I was on the lookout for a good, affordable ND 1000 10 stop lens filter and was delighted when I came across this one
4/5

I thought it was fantastic that I could get something I needed for my bag while also planting trees. When I read the reviews, I noticed a lot of people complaining about the picture quality; That was not a problem for me. I found minimal vignetting and had no issues shooting in real time or live composite (using an Olympus OM-D E-M1 camera). D) and the color scheme is fantastic. The photo below was taken in the afternoon in Florida, in direct sunlight. 2 seconds x 24 in a live composite in the span of four minutes I was able to give the pond a flat mirrored look using the Gobe ND1000, and you can see some tracers of light along the tree line or a light painting effect that would look great at night using the Gobe ND1000. Color change and image quality are both unaffected. It was done on purpose to make the contrast higher. However, screwing or securing the filter in place can be difficult. It has a gritty feel to it, and it has a rough sound to it. It's not as smooth as I'd like, but it's a good buy for the money, the cause is worthwhile, and it improves photos while allowing for longer exposure times.

There is no visible vignetting in the color
5/5

Because I didn't do a proper shutter speed conversion, my final image with the filter was underexposed. br>I also took too long to screw in the filter, which resulted in a reduction in sun brightness. br>As a result, I had to do some post-production work to match the exposure. br>There is no vignetting or color shift that I can see. The only drawback is the difficulty in screwing it in, but it's an excellent filter for the price! br>As a bonus, they include lens cloth! br>As well as a nice little filter casebr>br>br>The first photo is without the filter and the second photo is with the filter on.

High-end quality on a shoestring budget I had been looking for a good ND filter for my landscape photography that was also within my budget for quite some time
5/5

Some filters are very expensive, while others are very inexpensive. Although this filter is in the mid-price range, I can assure you that the quality and construction are comparable to those found in higher-priced models. For beginners, semi-professionals, and professional photographers, Gobe offers three filter options. These are divided into three categories: beginnersGobe Peak1, semi-pro Gobe Peak2, and pro Gobe Peak3. These options will help you choose based on your experience. br>I like this filter a lot, so I'm going to add two more Gobe filters. Gobe also does a great job of planting five trees for every purchase. Guys, thank you for your thoughtful gesture!!.

Hello, 5 feet from the sun, and goodbye, rainy days! It's very dark
3/5

I initially mistook this for a variable ND filter, but after receiving it, I coughed for a few moments before getting over it. This bad boy has a lot of dark undertones to him. Definitely for a few long exposure shots. Great quality, but not at all useful to me (anyone interested in buying it?). Just kidding, I'll keep this one on the shelf in case it comes in handy at some point. Gobe is certainly providing a high-quality product, but unless you're photographing waterfalls with a 3 second shutter speed at 1. If the temperature is below 8 degrees Fahrenheit, you may want to go lighter. br>br>Believe me, I walked out with my nifty 50 at 1 p. m. in the peak of sunlight. I was at 8 degrees Fahrenheit, and all I could see were coal-colored outlines. It may be appropriate for some people, but double-check to ensure that it is exactly what you require. There are many options available to Gobe. br>br>I gave it a five-star rating because of the product's quality. I'm not going to slam them because of my errors; have fun shooting!.

It comes highly recommended
5/5

Take a look at the outcomes. Un- raw images that have been edited Prior to this, I had a 9-year-old son. ND variable filter should be turned off. The X spot at the maximum level caused me to return it. This is exactly what I wanted, and I'm glad I did. br>br>In general, the product is well-made. I like how the filter is protected by a metal case. A ring made of metal. Glass is of excellent quality. I've attached two images to this message. Filterless and filtered images Take a look at the water! There is no color bleed. This is a 10-stop ND filter for long exposure photography. br>br>If you're looking for a good ND filter for long exposure photography, this is a good place to start. br> Stop using the ND filter that isn't variable. br>br>Having said that, I believe it is overpriced to cover only one lens. There are four different sizes of filters in my collection. br>An example of a filter is one with a number of filters of around 40. For $100, I could purchase a filter system that would cover all four. There are four lenses in my collection. Think about it.
