I grabbed the sensor with both hands and pressed my finger against it, leaving a large smudge. After being told by Sony that I should send it to them and that I might get it back by the summer, I bought this cleaning kit to try to fix it. I hoped I could clean it without them knowing, even if it meant jeopardizing my warranty. It ended up being a huge success. Not only did the smudges disappear, but so did a sticky dust spot. This cleaning kit is simple to use and very effective, and it appears to be well-made with clear instructions. The price was reasonable, and there were enough cleaning tips and solutions to go over this several times (without Sony knowing).

Not at all what they said. The gripping ribs on the side drew me to this brand, and the outer package was as shown, but the swab inside was labeled TYCKA and had smooth sides. In addition, the solution bottle has a distinctive appearance. br>However, the bigger issue is that these are marketed as APS-friendly. The actual usable, flat part of the swab for C sensors is less than 15mm wide, so it will never cover an APS-C sensor in a single pass. There are 15 C sensors in total. x mm in height, not to mention the extra width for alignment slop. br>I'm going to try Dust Patrol Alpha Swab, which is advertised as being 17mm wide and having square cut edges.

This was the perfect fit and solution for my Panasonic Lumix G7 camera! The before and after can be seen in my photos. The swab worked perfectly and left no residue, streaks, dust, or lint on my sensor. Also, it seemed to be a good fit, so I didn't have to go through the process twice! My only piece of advice is to use a TINY amount of cleaner because you don't want anything to get soaked or wet. A small amount of something goes a long way! My camera was still fairly new, but I noticed streaks in the sensor one day while attempting to wipe it clean. I was afraid I'd ruined my camera because the sensors are extremely sensitive and should not be cleaned in the manner I did. By the way, alcohol should not be used. Anyway, I used this product, and the camera was fixed almost instantly. Two swipes with the swab were all it took.

This camera was bought secondhand on Ebay and had a filthy sensor. I had tried a more expensive brand before and it didn't work nearly as well, so I was left with 20-minutes to kill. The Canon 30D sensor has thirty spots on it. I bought the Ranger Kit because I was out of swabs. It removed all but one small spot after two drops were applied to a swab for cleaning and a dry swab for drying. The cost of a professional cleaning in your area ranged from $50 to $75. It cost $2 to clean the Ranger. 20! They have a YouTube video that shows you how to clean your sensor according to their recommendations.

I've used this product and discovered that it has left marks on my camera lenses. The residue has the appearance of an oil slick. I would have returned the item if I hadn't kept it for far too long and needed to double-check that I was handling the cleaning material correctly.

Drawing the liquid to the swab is not an easy job because the bottle is very hard. However, it is of good quality and it works 100%. Make sure the swab doesn't get wet.

This is the most incredible thing that has ever happened to me. I had streaks on my camera because I took it to the beach and changed the lens there, which caused it to become humid and dirty. I tried using alcohol, Windex, and glasses cleaner, but none of them worked. There are no streaks on the mirror, which makes it look brand new.
