Thank you for contacting us with your inquiry! The grey MagicFiber for our photography accessories was the original color of the MagicFibers. We continued to include one in each of our sets because it was such a popular item. In fact, a lot of people have asked for sets of all grey MagicFibers. They're also available in a variety of other colors (all of which are of the same high quality), all of which can be found on Amazon by searching for 'MagicFiber.' Imitation cloths and sellers should be avoided at all costs. Although they appear to be the same in photos, they are not the same high-quality microfiber cloths. br>We appreciate your interest in MagicFiber cloths. We hope you enjoy them as much as we enjoyed creating them! Walterbr>Digital Gojabr>Walterbr>Walterbr>Walterbr>Walterbr>Walterbr>
I don't believe the magicfiber cloths contain any chemicals; rather, as you suggested, they are well-made cloths. However, in response to your question, I've sniffed the cloths and detected no odor, and I've washed them a few times and found that their effectiveness has not been harmed. I will admit that if our eyeglasses are quite dusty/greasy/whatever, it's obviously best to rinse them first before using the cloth to clean them, as anything you use to rub on the glasses can scratch them. They work great for everyday use and as wipes for computer monitors, television screens, cell phones, and other electronic devices, and there is no chemical residue on the glass. However, as directed on the packaging, hand wash in warm water and air dry. It only takes a minute, and then all you have to do is lay it out to dry on a paper towel. The magicfiber cloths can also be used to dry wine glasses and other fine crystal, according to the packaging. This would also indicate to me that the cloth is free of chemicals, as one would obviously drink or eat from these items. Another advantage of these larger cloths is that they can be left at their original size or cut to any useful size. My husband and I have discovered that microfiber cleaning cloths are frequently insufficient in size for specific tasks. I hope this has provided you with a comprehensive answer to your question.
The only reason I have them is because of this. These are the best because they don't scratch any type of surface. I recommend that you first run your glasses under cold water to remove any debris that might get dragged around. You can clean them while they're still wet. These last a long time!
When you hover your mouse over the extra large pack, a picture of both the regular and extra large cloths appears. The extra large cloths measure 16" x 16" and come in a package of three.

This is an awful product. My eyeglasses were scratched as a result of using this product. The scratches appear to be made by sandpaper with a very fine grain. This is an awful product. Only the cost of my purchase will be refunded by Amazon. Is it just me, or do you find it odd that there are over 10,000 reviews on (of all things) glass cleaners?.
So we're on lockdown, and VR has been a great way for me to unwind and have a little fun during my downtime, so I decided to invest in some new microfiber cloths to keep my lenses clean. br>br>It turns out that my decision permanently damaged my headset, and this at a time when replacement or repair are nearly impossible. Now I'm stuck with a cloudy, damaged headset that I won't be able to repair (Oculus doesn't cover user damage), and I can't afford (or find) a replacement. br>br>So, if you don't value your expensive prescription lenses or virtual reality headset, use these instead; they'll scratch the smudges right out!.
The lenses were always covered in an oily film, and any attempt to clean them only smeared the oil all over the place. I experimented with different cleaning cloths, eyeglass cleaner spray, and pre-cleaning solutions. wipes that have been moistened, and a magnasonic cleaner I even tried Google's ridiculous suggestion of a squirt of dishwashing liquid, a rinse, and a clean towel. I was inches away from breaking my glasses, which meant I'd have to buy new ones. Despite my reservations, I decided to give these cloths a try after seeing them mentioned on a website. They were able to remove the film from my lenses on the first attempt. I'm never going back to using anything else. I can keep one at my desk, one in my bedroom, one in my purse, and one in the car because there are six in a pack.
They've only been on the market for two weeks, but they're already proving to be very effective. It's something I use on a daily basis. It effortlessly removes smudges, skin oils, and other debris without the use of water or lens cleaning solutions. It has made me very happy. The 6-pack comes highly recommended by me. However, to keep them in different places, such as your car or briefcase/purse, you need a small plastic container, which I believe the product should come with, even if it adds a few dollars to the price, because otherwise, the cloth will be exposed to dust and grime, reducing its effectiveness. The thin plastic sleeve it comes in is fine for shipping and would probably last a few weeks in your car or office, but I believe you really need a thin, plastic, hinged box to protect this fantastic product. Washing them (with plain water) appears to be simple, but I haven't tried it yet. Even if each cloth only lasts a year or two, having clean, smudge-free cloths is always a good thing. The cost of the 6-month supply of lenses is more than justified by the free lenses. pack. Buy it; It will not be a mistake. They perform admirably. **** UPDATE: br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br> It's been about two months since I got them. I used mostly one of the cloths as a test (I had bought a 6-pack). pack). It stopped working after a while (it wasn't effectively cleaning my lenses). So I hand-washed it with warm water (no soap) and let it air dry, as directed on the package. It was a complete failure; It was simply smearing my lenses the same way the other cloths did. I tried washing it several times with the same result, so I took a chance and washed it with a mild liquid soap. Result? . Success! It now functions as it did when I first used it. I believe that oil builds up in the cloth over time, and that there is no way to remove it without using soap. Anyway, experiment at your own risk, but I discovered that using liquid soap and thoroughly rinsing works. It smears your lenses if you don't use it.
I just cleaned my glasses with one of these MagicFiber cloths, and they are now worse than they were before I cleaned them. They are cloudy, as if they have a film on them (I can't see through them). And wiping it away with a cotton cloth proved difficult. An oily film can be felt on your fingers if you rub the MagicFiber cloth a little. br>br>I purchased these items a year ago and they were fantastic. Everyone "borrowed" them from me, so I had to purchase more. br>br>However, they cannot be used as they are right now. What is the process by which the product degrades? Is it just me, or does this happen to everyone else? How is it that this isn't mentioned in every review? Do not purchase these. br>br>.
Here's a close-up of the weaving under the microscope. The quality is excellent. Here's a close-up of the weaving under the microscope. However, the quality of the cloth could not be better. It does a fantastic job.
I'm not one to write reviews right after receiving something, but I have to say something about these towels! Microfiber cloths are usually something I avoid - I understand they're supposed to be great for cleaning your glasses and screens, but every single microfiber cloth I've ever used has left unforgivable streak marks on every surface - When I first opened these cloths, I used one to clean my glasses, which had been streaky all day due to cleaning on my tshirt. I only used one of these cloths, and my glasses were streak-free and gorgeous! These are fantastic. I was hesitant to spend so much money on clothes I didn't think I'd like, but these exceeded my expectations! I will buy from you again without a doubt. It's fortunate that there are so many included in the pack - This means I'll always have one with me. I would highly recommend it!.
