This is one of those questions where the answer is "it depends." I can't speak for the other units, but I did order the dual-channel version. bay USB digital charger, and it turned out to be just that. The power cord is USB-style, not the type that plugs into the wall, and it does not come with a car adapter. I'd like to emphasize that my failure to pay attention to the descriptions or photos was entirely my fault. Because the seller went to great lengths to be accurate, it's all mea culpa. I'm a happy camper because the charger and two batteries I received appear to be high-quality items. In addition, the box specifies that I may use "any 2." 1 A USB power source" isn't a big deal; it's just something to be aware of. Big Mike's deserves praise for a fantastic product and prompt delivery, not to mention a fantastic price!:
Ralph, the factory battery that came with my Canon Vixia HF R400 Camcorder shows a total recording time of 94 minutes when fully charged. Both batteries in the Fully Decoded Pack with Charger are correctly recognized, and each one has a recording time of 190 minutes on a full charge. In practice, all of these times appear to be correct. I had some issues with other, less expensive batteries not being recognized and not properly displaying the battery condition before purchasing this item, but these have worked perfectly for me so far. I hope you find this information useful.
The charger's back reads, "Hello." 'AC 110- 240 volts, 50/60 Hz', so I'm guessing it'll work with the right plug adapter.
I don't have any idea if the original Canon battery can be charged with this charger because it doesn't come with one. I've been charging my Canon battery on the camera as instructed so as not to damage the Canon battery; the Vivitar batteries that came with the charger have a very long run time; and the battery indicator in the camera is accurate, which was my main concern when ordering the batteries and charger. br>If I know I'll be shooting for a long time, I'll use one of the two batteries first, then switch to the Canon battery, allowing me to charge the depleted Vivitar battery with plenty of recharge time via the second Vivitar plus Canon battery. So far, I've never had a shoot that lasted long enough to use all three batteries. I've only used two Vivitar batteries in a day because they last so long. I'll keep this charger on my person in case I need it, and I won't have to worry about recharging it. During the day, I charge the original Canon battery, knowing that if I need to, I can charge the Vivitar batteries.br>I am a professional cameraman. I use Canon professional equipment and a Canon HF-S1 as a backup. A smaller version of the pro chip block is used in the M500. I shoot with a Canon HF-S1 camera. M500 as a lock-off additional camera angle or a cover shot that matches the look of my professional camera. I just sat there and let it go for hours.

I was unsure what product it was because it arrived so quickly; I placed my order on Tuesday afternoon and it arrived Wednesday morning? I am currently residing in the state of California. I opened the package and found everything I needed, as well as a good quality product. I plugged the charger into a wall outlet and charged both batteries at the same time. They both had 161 minutes on their cameras after charging. I've bought both aftermarket and Canon batteries in the past. My current batteries have a capacity of just over 100 minutes each when fully charged. These appear to be a good deal, especially since you get an extra charging station (I've never had a charging station and have always charged my camera directly). So far, I'm pleased; the batteries are a little "tight" to install in the camera, but I'm confident that with use, they will loosen up. All good!.
This battery disappointed me because it did not last long enough to record an entire softball game.
I took the charger and batteries out of the box and put them to use right away. The charger completed the charge in a fraction of the time I had anticipated. It's a smart charger, by the way. br>In my Canon video camera, the batteries worked flawlessly. They have not caused me any problems. They appear to be doing a good job of maintaining their charge. They've been up and running for about a month now. br>I'm not aware of any disadvantages.
A fantastic set of accessories. This package includes two batteries as well as a wall charger to fully charge them. My only complaint, which earns it a four-star rating, is the tightness with which the battery and charger are connected. I'm afraid I'm going to bend one of the charger pins by mistakenly inserting the battery incorrectly. It's probably just my imagination, but inserting the battery is a little more difficult than with any other product I've ever used. Aside from that, it's an excellent charger and battary set.
These batteries appear to last about 2/3rds as long on a charge as the original barrery, though they are not quite as good as the Canon batteries. It does, however, last long enough to recharge the original.
The batteries arrived on time, fully charged, and ready to use with the camera. Big Mike has now sold me two batteries, both of which have performed admirably.
It took about 171 minutes to charge the batteries the first time. The time was reduced to around 134 minutes the next time I charged the batteries. I haven't charged them since, so I'll try again to see if it was just an outlier or if subsequent charges aren't providing me with the full amount of time promised. br>br>On a recent cruise to Alaska, I used these extra batteries in the camera and they worked fine. I kept swapping them with the Canon battery to ensure that I had enough power to record with my camcorder at all times. These are not Canon batteries, as the batteries are labeled Vivitar. I believe the advertising should specify this so that customers are not misled into believing they are receiving a genuine Canon battery.
These are compatible with my camera and have a longer battery life than the original.
