so much respect for the manufacturer who was very upfront about the materials used in this. This is copper clad aluminum, the wires and strands are a bit smaller than AWG, and the product is a exact match for what was Since I had never worked with copper clad aluminum before, I did not take into account all of the potential ramifications. Among the pros In addition to being flexible, the wires are insulated with thick plastic for excellent abrasion resistance. The cons are Since strands are so thin and fragile, exposing a few would mean a few would break As the insulation cover is kind of floating over the wire, I'm worried about corroding outside especially for long periods of time. I feel like the whole wire is very fragile and flimsy No matter what length I use it for, I would not project it out. As a whole This wire was great for my RV project, and if you're looking for a durable wire with low prices, this is the way to go The copper you used is rated AWG, so I'm sure it will be sufficient for the most critically important projects. That said, I'll spend the extra money on reliable copper next time.
A trailer that I own needed to be rewired, so I bought this wire. Wire is usually difficult for me to work with, so I was dreading it. I thought this stuff was awesome. I've never worked with a wire as easy as this. There was no difficulty in stripping the ends. There is a lot of flexibility with the wire. Wiring a trailer from under can be difficult because the insulation is extra thick, so it won't be cut or nicked over time. This wire is likely to be the last time I need to fabricate one for quite some time. Would have been better off with this trailer wire than the cheap alternate I used the last time that lasted only a few.
Most people use the wrong wire size when they are hauling a trailer. Let's say they are going maybe 20 feet long they will need to make sure there will be sufficient wire to keep the lights from flickering that far. So when you go upgrade your lights upgrade the wiring.
It appears to be getting corroded and the outside insulation is falling off, as if you move it a little bit, and it will immediately snap. This does not come into direct contact with the sun. In the next few days I'll post pictures of the process as I start to replace them.
It's copper plated aluminum, not pure copper, but for the price it's pretty good. I have purchased many sets of solder sticks that match it.
It was delivered as scheduled, and I was very happy with the quality and The 6 colors of wire were used in the rewire of the trailer. We are very pleased with the.
