Keeping things as they are without sacrificing Just like CliffBreining's previous review (see other review), I found my Panasonic DMR-EX88 to have a few issues According to the Memorex package, the internal DVD-ROM can play movies up to 20 minutes in length It is noted in the manual that RAM disks are removable, but no instructions are included

You must orient the printed cartridge as shown in (1) With right side up, text should be read from the top down. (2) Make a hole in the round plastic plug above and to the left of the write-protect switch using an ice pick or equivalent. (2) Stick a tiny, flat-bladed knife into the blade of a large, flat-bladed one Insert the blade of the screwdriver into the little notch on the left edge of the cartridge (in line with the hole you just knocked the plug out of) and push it Removing the disk carefully from inside will ensure that the bottom side is not harmed. Your DVD recorder must be equipped with a cartridge to record this disc (without the disk). The (5) Revision Shut the bottom of the cartridge when the disk is inserted, and then insert the disk in the cartridge.

There is nothing more it can be than this

If you have the right software and DVD player, then this is an excellent product. 'This product could be used to transfer large files from one computer to another, but I've uploaded my home videos and used a burning tool that allows me to watch VCD movies on my DVD player (not the one in the computer). Most importantly, all Memorex products that I have purchased have completely satisfied me. If you know how to use this massive DVD disc and are able to put videos on it, I suggest getting a larger capacity disc since it will not only have more space, but it will also let you put videos of a higher quality on it. The DVD RAM disc is one of my favorite products and I appreciate how easy it is to use.

I love it! I tested it right away on my Panasonic recorder - it worked right out of the package The document does not need to be formatted

The cartridge feature (type 2) I really like because it really protects the disk if you plan on using it a lot. As long as you know your machine is compatible with this type of media, you should have no.

A box of three of these cost me $80, but I was only able to format one with my Panasonic DVD recorder

Despite the fact that the cartridges are neat, I suggest you buy other types of media Media from any other vendor is acceptable.

This product must be removed from the cartridge in order to be used

A few weeks ago, I bought this to backup my important files, only to be unable to initialize it. I have a PowerMac G4 Gigabit Ethernet. In the other comments, others also noted that Memorex DVDs had a high failure rate Even more expensive RAM discs will be better than this one, so I recommend getting another brand.

There is no good in that

All of them have gone blank when I have tried them. As far as I know, I have never had this problem with other discs and I seem to have no problem with other brands of discs.

The RAM Disk is a great drive
5/5

As far as I know, I have used it only with my Panasonic DVD-R There are a few reviews of this product where buyers were surprised that it contains a RAM disk. Between DVD-R and DVD-RW, there truly is a difference The RAM Media and Technology Group A DVD recorder is all you need.
