It looks like a RW Data Cartridge to me. Are you asking if it's rewriteable or is it just one-time read and write? Thanks a lot! ?

The tapes I use for data backup have been around for over a decade now. It is possible to rewrite the tapes, but you can lock them to prevent them from being overwritten Data preservation must be done if you intend to keep their information.

Is the tape new? Hi, how are you? Tapes are sealed at the factory, is that correct? Is the box they come in made of plastic?

No box is included with the tape because it is factory sealed with plastic.

Could you please tell me if those tapes are compatible with Dell LTOS?

It was delivered very quickly. There may seem to be no real reason why I took away a star it was purely for the price. There is lots of information and graphics on the labels that come with HP products. It is not helpful to have a label with writing already there in the places where I need to write. Searching online for blank labels is expensive. This product should come with blank labels, and yes, I know that there are some products that don't I've never had a problem with HP tapes and the fact I found a good tape at a reasonable price is worth a 4 out of 5 rating!.

The labels were crappy and the product was noisy

Once I inserted one of these tapes into my tape drive, I thought it had stopped working. It's like a spindle is all over the place, and I've never heard such a lot of noise from a tape. There is only one way to understand this problem noise = poor My next purchase of tape will not be HP. If Sony or a top brand is the brand of my choice, I am very happy with it. My purpose in mentioning the labels is to answer this question why did I mention them? See how expensive labels for LTO tapes are by attempting to buy your own! a logo as well as some lines and other stuff on their labels that you do not need or want. The reason why they did this is beyond me. But if labels are important to you, your expensive tape comes with one of the worst. (And you guessed it, it comes with a label. Many brands do not give you a free sample, but that's not true.

Tapes have the same quality as any other source

It is tape and I have never had any problems with it except that they do wear out after a few uses, which is The good thing about an LTO tape is that you can get at least 100 backups off of it.
