Maxell CD-ROMs have always been my preferred choice The majority of our time has been spent on Rs exclusively. I went from having a 0% failure rate to a 75% failure rate about a month ago. My first thought was that I must have gotten a bad batch, but I tried three different sellers within the last month and the discs all failed. I have only had to take one out of five tests that did not fail in the latest batch that I received. Professionally, I have found that the first 75 minutes of each disc records without a hitch, but after that discs skip a lot. Up until now, I have never had a problem putting more than 79 minutes of music on a disc. We are no longer in that position. Evidently, Maxell will no longer be considered a trustworthy name. I have found that they work well for the first 75 minutes, but between those 75 and 79 minute marks, they will freeze up or skip.
I received a package full of defective CDs. Every one of them. It took two different drives (one was BRAND NEW -- It's been a couple of years since I last ran it on my Other than that, it is fine) with more or less the same result. The kind of file does not No matter what source was used, it Tracks on some of them had static, while tracks on others simply stopped playing after a few minutes. The media player ran on Windows Media Player and Roxio) so it appeared they would work. But since I discarded them, I cannot return them It was blind faith that led me to believe "next one" would The Junk.
It is a defective disc. In the image, the older version of the item is clearly visible before it was updated with "max data. ". Initially, I thought I would be receiving an older version, which is why I bought these. I bought had a label that read max data, and I had 21 of 25 fail to work with most of the devices I have. There has been a significant change since you are now able to see through them. Hundreds of downloads of the old version went without a hitch.
The error message "burn failed owing to medium error" appeared every time I tried to burn a CD. When I tried burning the CD at a lower speed, there was no difference As soon as it got close to the end, it would In my attempts, I tried a CD from another brand, and it was fine. I therefore do not believe my burner is at fault. This has never happened to me with any other brand of CD.
The shoddy discs from Maxell have been waiting for a couple of months to be eliminated. As sure as I could be, a month ago, I ordered 100 discs and each one worked. The order for 400 more was placed recently. When I play my discs, at least 3 out of every five start making static noises despite my duplicator saying they are all OK Sound effects ("whirk, whirk, whirk") are present from the middle of the disc until the end. I have no problem with my duplicator, because all other CD brands work fine. Three months ago I had the same issue. Waste of time! On average, I throw away 72 items out of 100.
They're not working for some reason, but the other disks are. My interpretation is that the disks are thicker and I think that is what caused.
Despite this, I told my wife from time to time that the problem must be with her computer and burner since Maxell CDs are of high quality and would never cause any problems. A 50 pack of CDs didn't play in my car when I burned music to the first four discs. The only message I received was an ERROR message. After playing a disc for a few minutes, it stopped and showed an ERROR message. In case this has anything to do with it, I burned one of the discs again just for kicks. After failing to burn it once more, my wife's burner recognized it as a blank disc and tried But the CD couldn't be played on the This is confusing and frustrating at the same time. Maxell dominated the recording industry in the past, and you can never go wrong with one of In terms of recording tape quality, they were top of the line There are several types of reel to reel and cassette equipment. My guess is that it works differently with CDs. There was just no way Maxell could transfer their excellent "analog" standard to the digital realm. The whole thing was a SHAME and an absolute The two CD packs I returned to Amazon were 50 packs. In order to complete this review, I had to give 1 star. This is beautiful.
Since I first started using Maxell blank CDs, I've used them almost exclusively. It has proven that the latest purchase was Almost two thirds of the CDs were unable to be played. Initially, I thought it was a problem with the hardware, so I bought a new burner. My next assumption was that there may be a software problem. solution was found by using a competitor's software, which produced every viable CD. My next Maxell CD purchase will not be from Maxell.
