Questions & Answers

This digital audio recording is it able to be played back?

No, these are discs only needed by CD recorders, rather than computer drives. You can then listen to the CD on any CD player after you have mastered it

I have a Magnavox 765 recorder will these discs work on it?

A Philips/Magnavox recorder older than 10 years may not work with these. Some of the ones available in 2014 probably did they were sourced from Ritek then, but since late 2016 or so they have been made by CMC Magnetics, which also makes discs branded as Memorex, Imation, Verbatim, and so on. dye problem seems to be more of a result of the physical layout of the disc than of the dye itself.

How well will CD-R discs record and play back with a Teac cd recorder from 2013?

With regards to my receiver, I'm using a TEAC CDRW880, which is hooked up to an Onkyo. CD-R has been my go-to for a while We use Maxell, TDK, and Memorex brands of CDs and have never had any recording problems. The CD must be a CD-R The word "MUSIC" should be capitalized. In the case of a regular CD The only way to use R is to save pictures and documents on a computer The videos.

Is there a difference between standard jewelcases and slimline cases?

Exactly what does it mean to be slimline?

There are still recorders that work with these, but they are rare
3/5

However, these discs are inexpensive and relatively free of manufacturing issues, but compatibility with many CD recorders is poor, and this is not an issue only affecting us older guys who love to use antique gear. It is possible for some CD players to not read a correctly burned disc even if the disc has been burned correctly. *bubble* Maxell may be responsible for clogging up the label side with their logo, but they aren't directly at fault for the poor quality of the discs. The company does not manufacture them, and their current sourcing appears to be limited to Taiwanese manufacturers It is not the first time CMC discs have had compatibility issues 15 years ago, when they appeared using the names Memorex and (yes) Philips, my Philips CDR 560 and CDR 870 did not like them. The Ritek discs, however, used to work on the Philips machines, but now they even work on my JVC XL-500 system The R5000 refuses to accept Ritek and CMC discs, making squawking noises after a short period of time, without even attempting the "OPC" routine, although it is still usable with older discs from the two vendors. Since about a year ago, Maxell bought its discs primarily from Ritek, though for a few years CMC was a source as well. It is easiest to identify the maker of the hub from the lettering in the reflective layer, which is most visible when the unit is "recording" side up When it comes to CMC discs, they're marked with "CCLAT," while Ritek discs are marked with "RTA80M. " Images, taken from the "recording" side. While the light's performance is good, the image quality isn't Other factors are equally important, such as how far the initialization area is from the disc center. The sensitive dye gets most of the blame and is likely to be the biggest problem. A term defined by the "pre-" The "OPC" test area, the Table of Contents, and information identifying the disc type are etched into the groove, and this space was consumed to accommodate manufacturing variations when 80 minute discs appeared early in the century to gain a small part of the extra six minutes of playtime. It is supposed to be fine for older drives to read and write data from 80 minute discs, but the laser assembly occasionally cannot get to the "groove" to do so. ways can be employed to extend the end of the charge with minimal impact on compatibility, as was done quite successfully by the Japanese manufacturer Taiyo Yuden. Discs are a great product, so it's a pity they've stopped manufacturing them. Even though I do not like these discs very much, I do not know of a good alternative. It is the same company in the USA that manufactures Memorex, Verbatim, Imation and several other "generic" brands, even though Verbatim is owned by CMC, so those discs will at least be made in the same factory. There appear to be no future releases from Sony in the Music CD-R market My company's R business has been suffering from disappointing results over the past three years, even while still listed by some dealers. It appears that MAM-only is an actual alternative Although most of them work with Philips recorders, all too often they have issues with manufacturing quality, primarily dye voids and blobs of non-compatible dye. Disk crashes due to removable "stuff" stuck to the recording side, hard to see and large enough to cause the drive to stall. A SECOND UPDATE is now available for 28 May 2020. A batch of MAMs has just arrived CMC Magnetics provided the A discs and they provided results similar to those obtained with In general, Maxell's recent CD-Rs have been generally free of physical defects, except for a few warped discs that may not be the result of a manufacturing error There aren't any that work with the "classic" Philips recorders, including the CDR 765, though I've found a few that do work with batches of Ritek-based recorders According to my limited testing I have sourced discs that work, but there seems to be very low yield on the slightly older Some of them still work on older recorders, like those made by Sony, and even those made by LG Electronics like the SONY RCD-100. In addition to the W1, AIWA XC-, Harman Kardon CDR 20 and Harman Kardon A 700-Won note. The discs are found to record properly in a GPX CDRW3500, but their playback drive does not recognize some of the finished discs. And they shouldn't cause many problems on newer recorders, like the TEAC CD-RW61. The RW890 award. In any case, they should work with all standalone recorders and players, so even if I have found recorders that work with them, I cannot say they are "OK" in my opinion.

A terrible CD of music or audio I have a certain R
3/5

Who and what is responsible for the incident? Until now, I have never had any trouble burning audio or music CDs I have a CD containing Rs Since I had a Maxell recorder in the past, I always thought its quality was excellent. I bought these in August 2019, and I am very unsatisfied with their quality. It went well with the first disc I burned. However, the second disc would not record after I got about halfway through it and would not finalize, I received a "repair" or "check the disc" message on my CD-RW. A recorder that records R audio. That turned out to be a real irritant to me since I spent a lot of time preparing some copies on I bought a CD manufactured by another company instead I tested it with R and it worked just fine. Later, I tried another Maxell CD-ROM and it worked as well There was not even a disc drive recognition problem, as I got an error message stating that I should check the disc. To date, I have tested four of these Maxell audio and music CDs I have a CD containing Rs It has only worked with one R recorder. There is nothing good about these. Those are faulty, and I am not likely to buy them again! I don't know what has happened to Maxell quality, but I'm not likely to.

This is not the first time I have ordered a large quantity of Maxell CD-ROMs No problems with our Music CDs - My experience with them has been excellent! I recently ordered these (significantly) more affordable packs
3/5

As a result, this might not be a fair review, since I cannot be sure the problem is with the CDs. This is not the first time I have ordered a large quantity of Maxell CD-ROMs I have no problems with the music CDs I have They've been excellent product! I recently ordered (significantly) cheaper packs of 50 and have had a lot of issues. As I question whether these may be different from the original listings (which were the ones I did not have problems with), I think I will return some of them. It is important to note that this listing is quite The price I thought was related to the holiday/Black Friday holiday is actually an even lower price. I'm now wondering if there is another reason why I am suspicious, let's just put it that way. We don't know why this all happened at once. Is it so hard to deal with all the I've noticed that the trouble starts when the first song on the recorded CD's doesn't want A recording of them has been made- Count the tracks and time on the display to see how many there are. In some cases, if you wait just 20 minutes it may come Within 30 seconds of hitting 'play,' the video will begin to My friends had the same problem with some of the CD's that I copied and sent to them as gifts- The sound is not coming from Although my duplicator is quite new, I can't say for certain it's not the cause of the problem- There could just have been a coincidence that it began to have problems around the same time I tried these CDs. Maxell is also a fan of mine, having been around since the cassette tape era. This might be the problem CDs, I doubt there are Maxell CD-00s at all. A big R! Here's an update! After my original review of 2 stars was posted a few days ago, I am updating it now. Many of my friends have given me feedback about the copies of CD's I've given them. On several CDs, they either don't see any problems or they do (but only on a few). Although some of the people who state there are no problems confirm that CD's sometimes take a while to load, they feel that is a minor issue. Although these 50 CD's offer great value for the price, I would have to lower my review to 4 stars, since they are still a good price compared to the original 500 CDs I purchased. Personally, I would rather spend a bit more and preserve the previous quality. The reason why I left my 2 star review is to draw attention to the possible difference between CDs, in case anybody else finds this important. It is quite possible that there is a problem with my duplicator, however, one of the Memorex blanks I had in storage was exactly the same and I was able to copy to it with no delay or sound problem. As long as Maxell is around, I'm a fan!.

If you want a good burn, slow down
3/5

Since I started burning CDs several years ago, and before that some Maxell cassettes, I've burned a lot of disks. I haven't had a problem with their cassettes, but I can't say the same for their CDs. I had to set the speed of the writer to the absolute minimum in order for it to burn successfully. The only rips I had before doing so were failed ones. These sound fine, but I'm worried they may not hold up well over time. Not worth taking a chance on these moving forward. Even after over 20 years, I have TDK discs that are still playing fine. In another 20 years, these discs may be as useless as.
