The headset doesn't work with my husband's smartphone. I bought it in the hope it would work with all phones. While the seller was very helpful when describing how not all phones (like his Samsung J) can support virtual reality, the phone fit into the headset perfectly. You'll want to check the "gyro" option under the sensors, especially if you have one of the lower-budget models. It's on all the standard/new ones. In addition to using my phone, my husband was able to use the headset on it as well. At the end of the day, we never would have figured out any of this without the seller's assistance. His intent was to make sure that we understood how to find the headset's capabilities and to make the best use of it. Customers are treated with excellent.
