Questions & Answers
TCL 65S401 is exactly what it should have been.
This is a 55-inch TV kit, so it won't fit in that model. Your best bet is likely to be Ebay. On Amazon, there are a few options, but you'll have to sift through a few pages to find them.
This does not work. What was the model of your first led strip? It's possible it'll be available in our store as well.

Our television, like so many others, died shortly after the warranty period had expired. Instead of throwing it away, I decided to see if I could replace the lights after watching some YouTube videos on how to do so. I'd never done anything like this before, but I followed the detailed instructions on YouTube and it turned out fantastically! Although there are minor hotspots in the edges and the picture quality isn't perfect, it's better than a dead television. This was a fantastic outcome that I would recommend to anyone. I would simply recommend that you watch the video several times and take your time; there are a lot of small screws, so if you don't already have one, invest in a good mini head phillips screwdriver and good luck.
The problem I have with these is that I can see the individual lights through the screen after disassembling the television. It's not always obvious, but it's annoying enough. I tried lowering the brightness, but it didn't make a difference.
I looked it up on the internet and watched a video on how to do it. Not only was it simple, but the picture turned out better than it had before. I'd recommend watching a video first because there are a few minor nuances that are not intuitive, and I'm glad I spent $30 instead of $500 on a new TV.
Like another reviewer, I was able to use these LEDs to fix my TCL 55S405's LED backlight problem, but the new LEDs are leaking through the LCD. As the previous reviewer mentioned, this manifests itself on the screen as some spots on the screen being brighter than others. This is more noticeable when viewed from an angle rather than straight on, but it is still noticeable, particularly in scenes with a lot of grey. I gave them three stars because they are compatible with my television as advertised, but they perform differently than the originals, resulting in a poor picture. Not enough for me to give up the television, but it is a disadvantage nonetheless.
It was not possible to complete the strip in one sitting. I didn't have time to return and wait for a replacement while the screen was still here, so I used an old strip. br>Exercise more caution when testing your products. br>Taking down screens is a difficult and dangerous job. br>Aside from that, the leds were brighter than the originals, and so far, everything has worked out well.
My television is a 55-inch TCL model. It's well worth the money, and it wasn't difficult to do, just by watching YouTube videos, taking your time, and being cautious. 1 pound Work time is 2 hours.
TCL55s405 was a perfect fit. These were excellent choices. Used in my 55" TCL LED TV that I purchased in 2017, installation was simple, and they worked flawlessly. Reaching the strips behind the screen is a little difficult, but once replaced, they work perfectly. I would strongly advise anyone who intends to repair their television on their own to get these.
With these, I was able to fix my 55" Roku TV. It appears to be in good condition. There are no issues, and the cost is reasonable.
