Since I am a DJ myself, I decided to build my own cases for my equipment. I already own a few Odyssey cases that I love, so this time I decided to make my own. The butterfly latch on my Odyssey cases is far superior to the ones on this product which I bought after looking at others. When I compared it to the butterfly latches on my other Odyssey cases, I came to the realization that these latches are just as good. I make speaker boxes and flight cases a lot in my line of work, and I have been using the Penn-Tech flight case for this purpose It has been quite a while since I bought Elcom hardware. It looks like everything I construct is very high-quality It was a very professional end result. I would recommend this to anyone thinking about buying it as the build quality is excellent, and your finished product will look high-quality.
The latch on one of my shopping bags was broken, but it was easy to fix with this tool.
It's nice.
I found the product to be poor quality. There is a lot of metal in the dish. With better quality components, the TCH Brand is much stronger.
So it's not complete junk. I bought it years ago and it's been on a touring piece of gear without breaking. Let me give you an update, it's 2011 and these are broken. It's not a fault of the product, but rather roadies playing rough house.
Fits like a glove. The repair I needed to do on my road case went seamlessly. A latch needed to be replaced for a tour van, and I wanted to save some money on it. I couldn't have asked for a better outcome. It appears the product will hold up very well on the road. The complaints are not valid.
The butterfly latches appear to be well-made and sturdy. These materials were used to replace the rather weak clasps that were placed on the front of a fiber shipping case.
This worked perfectly for a DJ case I made, I used one on each side, and I wish I had a channel that would fit within the borders. I wish I had one that would fit inside my material borders.
