The distance between the closest sides of the two holes is roughly seven inches for me. 75" in length. A handle that is totally flat is when you can hold it with no resistance. As you lift the object, you need to take into account the handle will become shorter due to its bending.
Nine and a half inches

Although it's designed to hold wood-box type electronics, such as guitar amplifiers, I bought it in order to mount it atop a heavy all-metal lab power supply so that it wouldn't be difficult to move. As a result of the metal tabs (covers) at each end of the strap, which are designed to mount with screws and dig into the wood of the amp to prevent swiveling, my application against bare metal was a problem. It is not the fault of the manufacturer, as the strap's design was not intended for what I intended, however, it was overcome when I cut two patches of thick nylon and glued them between the strap tabs (covers) and the metal So that I could tighten my screws, I gripped the tabs into this. There is a heavy duty rubber (vinyl) handle that is well made and well designed. When not in use, it is designed to lay flat, but when grabbed (up) it will bend, providing a place to hold on to. At this price, you are getting a good quality product.
There are no frills on the This is a very strong product at a great price. Rubber encases metal so that it is flexible. My guitar amplifier is the perfect replacement for it. It does not have anything negative to say. It is a very functional tool. It is exactly as you see it in the picture. You are not provided with screws with this item. The reviewer on another handle complained about not getting screws with it, and said it was useless for him since he didn't get screws. I knew that, but the user on a similar handle complained about not getting screws. The man must be desperate for screws since his local hardware store is out of stock. Put both metal ends against the outward ends of the handle when installing it. When not in use, the handle would lay flat and there would be slack in the handle to reach your hand under it.
Although the system should be cheaper, it is easy to install and very strong, but deep screws are important.
My homemade pedal board has a handle attached to it for carrying. This is a durable product that works well!.
The translation isn't quite as pretty as the original, but it gets the job done!.
mismeasured the slack required when fitting it, I should have been paying more attention to that. The way to make sure the screw is tightened is to measure twice, screw once (I used bolts and tee nuts, so I will not have to adjust).
My 'one tough strap' handled a case weighing 120 lbs without even flinching! I used one on a case weighing 115 lbs and it barely moved!.
I love it.
