The length of this handle from end to end is how long? A 7- comes up on the screen My understanding of 1/4 center to center is that it means 3/8 center to center. My amp is a custom amp, and I would like to know how it works. ?

It is not surprising that 3/8" is the distance between the centers of both Philips screws The handle is properly mounted by securing the head screws with a small nut that allows the handle to sit flat, but pop out enough so that your fingers fit under it. Approximately, the width of the flattened black strap is 1.25 inches. This is 1/8".

When installing the screws, which ones are best to use?

It is recommended to replace the screws with Pan head Phillips, 25mm, M4X. A total of 70 bolts with T-nuts Those little nuts.
