As of now, it does not seem to work with an old analog CRT television via the TV's composite input when connected to my Roku Premiere+. I purchased this converter to connect my Roku Premiere+ to an older analog TV. It appears that the TV and the Roku device have distorted pictures when I turn them on. Roku's output resolution was set to 1080, but I tried lowering it to 720, but it had no effect. Roku Premiere+ does not give you the option of setting the output resolution to 480, so I was not able to test it. The Roku also did not work with a more modern HDTV using the TV's composite inputs when I used the converter - I could not get even a dime out. There is a distortion in the image. This doesn't work for me and I have no idea why. The converter has been reported to work well with streaming players like Roku. I could not find any instructions or a warning that the converter might not be compatible with certain devices on its packaging. In my opinion, it should work with any HDMI device. On the other hand, I am returning it since I will not be using it.
My 2015 Honda Pilot SE comes equipped with a rear entertainment system, and I purchased this device to stream Netflix and HBO to the rear. It worked perfectly with my iPhone 6 and iPhone 4, as well as my iPad 2. Expect to get a maximum of I am satisfied with the product as it does not mirror your device.
The reason I bought this was so I could play my older TVs with RCA jacks that only have the NES and SNES classic consoles. Worked for me! In addition, I was concerned about the size of the picture on the screen. It covers 98% of the screen, and the only portion on the left and right that I have to use with the side graphics on the SNES is a very small portion. There is no problem with the sound either. Simply patch into the existing network, no metal boxes or plug-ins required. The fact that I will be able to play my retro games on an old TV is very satisfying to me! As always, RadioShack is able to save the day!.
I added the Firestick to my old TV and it worked great! I have no problem! I've been using this for several years and it always works. I would buy from them.
My Acura MDX 2010 uses RCA connections, so I bought these speakers for the entertainment system in the vehicle. This was used with an iPhone 7 and an adapter for lightning to HDMI. The display is great. I have full screen mirroring set up and it looks great. used a Chromecast too, and it also worked, but I don't know how I can have WIFI and connect my Chromecast at the same time. I considered using that when I was at home using home WiFi, and it worked fine.
This device seems to be capable of converting the audio signal from HDMI sources, but is not able to do so with.
Does what it says on the tin. The reverse of most similar adapters is that you do not need a power cord. It is compatible with both PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. You should set the resolution no higher than 480p (Make sure the scaling option is off) Would highly recommend it.
It did not work with an HDMI-less TV and I was able to hook up a Roku Express to it. We spent a while trying to connect the Roku to the TV, but it only showed 1/4 of the screen when connected to it. Finally, after switching TVs and cables a few times, I used the converter to connect a cable box to the TV, but the quality still isn't excellent.
