The stand's base is made of a single formed sheet metal piece that has been powder coated. It has a magnetic hook on the 'back' side, as well as a few stoppers to keep it from sliding down the stand, and all of the hooks are protected by a tough rubber lining. br>br>I'm currently using this stand with a pair of wired Hyper X headphones and a Microsoft controller, and I've discovered that it works best when flipped backwards and the magnetic hook is lowered as low as it can go. I believe this setup would be better if I had a wireless headset, but my wired headset keeps knocking my controller over.
The metal stand is very durable. Each platform is equipped with a rubber pad that effectively grips the controller. I tipped the stand in one photo to demonstrate how well it holds the Xbox controller. Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii, and PlayStation 2 controllers are shown in my photos. The back's movable platform is magnetically attached. The platform is kept from sinking to the base by three rubber pads on the stand. However, I didn't have anything that would fit on it without interfering with the two Xbox One controllers on the other side, and it securely holds an Xbox One controller. My other controllers are thicker and have more play than this one. br>br>ADDENDUM: ADDENDUM: ADDENDUM: ADDENDUM: ADDENDUM: ADD My friend dropped the magnetic pedestal, causing the magnet to fall off almost immediately despite the flimsy glue that held it in place.
Look, this isn't a big deal. It has a very nice appearance and is just heavy enough to be stable. Overall, the construction is excellent. br>br>Unfortunately, the back to controller slots are largely ineffective. The top back slot is unavailable if a headset is hung from them (over the ear cuff). You can't use the back controller if the front one is magnetized (for adjustable height). br>br>And the front magnetic one isn't strong enough to maintain the level you set. Even so, it works because it comes to a halt at the bend, leaving enough space for the controller to sit. br>br>So it works fine with one headset and one controller. It doesn't work as well with corded controllers, but you might be able to get away with it if you're careful when putting them away. br>br>For my PS4 controller, the controller slots are also a little too wide. It still sits on them, but it isn't very secure, so make sure it's on a very solid, non-wobbling table. br>br>It's almost perfect, but it needs more room from front to back to account for the controller's and headset's overhang. And a slightly stronger magnet on the adjustable controller slot, or just make it rigid like the back and put it at the bottom where the bend begins for maximum headset distance.
The photo depicts it holding PS4 controllers, which can be misleading. I'm not sure I trust this stand to hold my PS4 controller because I don't feel as secure holding it as I do with my xbox or even my switch controller. I can feel the PS4 controller wobbling on the stand due to the rounded bottom [due to the control sticks], and the slope of the back of the controller is too aggressive for the controller, resulting in a lack of grip. br>br>I gave it three stars because it's fine if you only want to use it for xbox and nintendo switch pro controllers, but I bought it for my room, which only has a PS4.
Do you want to clean up your workspace? You've come to the right place. This stand is ideal because it is both affordable and of excellent quality. I'm an obsessive gamer who keeps two Elite 2 controllers on the shelf at all times. I knew I wanted to make my setup cleaner and more ergonomic as soon as I got my Series X. I can place my arctis 9x on top and use both of my controllers at the same time. It looks nice and is made of metal. It also came with an extra bracket that I was able to use to hold up my series x controller. Overall, it was a wise investment that I would recommend to others.
You will not be sorry if you purchase it if you look at it. Surprisingly long lasting! When I ordered it, I had no idea it was made of metal! It has a magnetic moveable holder on the back and is very smooth and well constructed. It's perfect for holding my PlayStation 4 controller. If you bang your head against the desk too hard, the controller will wobble wildly. I'm still waiting for it to fall! However, it shakes quite a bit. I would buy from them again without a doubt.
I took a chance and bought this for my son, who is completely enamored with Ring Fit Adventure and equally enamored with leaving the dangling Ringcon in the most bizarre locations. I wasn't sure about the narrow vertical design at first, but even with a wobbly TV stand and a curious cat, this stand is very stable. br>br>I don't use it for controllers because the Joycons stay on the Switch and the other controllers we have are large and wired, but for the Ringcon and leg strap, it's ideal.
I'm using it for our PS5 controllers, and if you want to keep your switch stores with them, you'll have to lean on the bottom of the controller because the last peg is close to the bottom of the holder. It would be better if you had shorter controllers. Aside from that, it's a strong metal with a nice color that's great for organizing.
