As I've said, this is a product that I would recommend if you have crap on board audio or if you have decent on board audio but want something with EQ controls and that can drive higher ohm headphones better. There is probably no difference in the sound of these headphones if you have speakers that are below 80 ohms, so in terms of value, they are a decent buy if you want an external dac amp with a mic input, but. One reason for so many negative reviews is due to the fact that every so often, if you plug in another pair of headphones or replug yours, the software will reset itself, and you'll have to wait a short time for the feature to function again. I had an extra mini usb cable around and just tried that now I'm not having this issue. It's because of the mini usb cable it comes with, it's not a very good cable and causes the issue. Dac amps usually do a good job and I would recommend this one, although you should pick up a new mini usb cable as well.

This is the best deal you can get for this price. The DT990 Pro 250 ohms works well with this DAC. The knob on my computer is mostly set halfway for gaming and casual listening, and that is more than sufficient. The world will eventually drown out if I turn the volume over the top from time to time. Despite your 2 stars, why do you only have two I have noticed that it disconnects from my PC at random times throughout the day. When I take my headphones off or put them on, I do this most of the time. Occasionally, it would disconnect from my PC and I would lose audio for a few minutes until it reconnected. Although at first I thought that it might be a driver issue, I had the same issue on two other PCs, one of which is that, but I can replicate the problem by just taking off or putting on my headphones. The mic input is a huge bonus as well, and I wish there was a way to resolve the disconnect issue because this is such a great Dac.

Having just started out in audio/digital stuff, I had no idea what I was doing. In addition to PC and console gaming, I enjoy playing video games. However, I never felt that my PlayStation 4 or PC headset was loud enough. As I searched for options, I came across these. This SYSBASONIC server was said to offer a lot of functionality for the price. I don't know if I would have been happier with the Black one I ordered instead of the white one. In reality, I didn't notice any difference in how loud the headphones were compared to if I had simply plugged them directly I am very disappointed. It's the Mayflower ARC MK2, I've got my eye on it. There is a major jump in price, and I feel like I have wasted $45 on this item just now.
